We are seeing an increased pressure within on our AML transaction surveillance, and we are looking for a team lead to lead a team of eager analytical minds through our AML transaction monitoring and help us combat money laundering, terrorist financing and financial crime.

As a Team Lead you will refer to the Head of Financial Crime Framework & Projects, and you will be joining a global team whose focus is on monitoring and complying with legislation. Your main assignment will be to manage our AML Surveillance Team focusing on a high quality of service and constant process improvement. Your daily tasks will be managing the daily work load, growing the employees and having a constant focus on prioritization and improvements whilst ensuring your teams’ high job satisfaction and continuous development.

Working with us, you will have an important role in our efforts to assess, implement and control the level of compliance with financial crime regulation and to provide advice and guidance to the business units and management and support our newly started project to change transaction surveillance provider. You are as a person collaborative, result oriented professional with a data driven mindset and a desire to challenge status quo.

The AML transaction surveillance team is a part of Group Operations and we are located in our headquarter in Hellerup, but with teams in both India, Denmark and the Netherlands. It is therefore important that you are able to communicate broadly in a clear manner.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the team
  • Setting KPIs and conduct performance reviews based on the set KPIs;
  • Ensuring the team has all the necessary tools and infrastructure in place in order to execute the daily tasks ahead;
  • Having an overview over the daily work load, resources and deliver efficient production planning;
  • Having an overview of ongoing projects and initiatives impacting the team
  • Securing strong and detailed documentation and audit trail of the performed work
  • Identifying potential improvements to the process flows and procedures, always aim for scalability and automatization;
  • Supporting your team in engaging with their stakeholders and maintain a high service level at all times
  • Continuously grow the expertise and knowledge of your team.
  • Perform management reporting

Your profile

As a person you come across as positive and diligent with the ability to prioritize and manage significant workload, whilst achieving targets. You are detail oriented whilst seeing the bigger picture, have strong analytical skills and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver excellence in surveillance area.

Furthermore we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • An experienced people leader with a proven track record - preferably within the financial sector.
  • Experience from working with AML surveillance is preferred alongside with international experience
  • Strong team player with the ability to work well under pressure and perform comfortably in high stress environment whilst still achieving targets and having an eye for details. You are outspoken if the team’s KPIs and agreed goals are at risk to be breached
  • You have strong interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with colleagues globally
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills is a prerequisite, and you have a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Experience within process optimization and automation is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Ideas come naturally and you can think creatively
  • You see solutions and not obstacles
  • You appreciate an open and relaxed atmosphere
