In this role you will join and support our Copenhagen site. You will be a valued member of the People & Culture (P&C) team, reporting to the VP of People and Culture, CPH.
About the role
We are currently seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Employee Relations Partner to join our team and support our Copenhagen site. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with Danish labor law and regulations and fostering positive relationships with our Shop Stewards and union representatives, as well as managers and employees at AGG Biologics.
Together with colleagues in the P&C Business Partner team and P&C Operations team you will support the business with advice related to collective and local agreements, HR policies, and personnel matters.
About the job
As a Senior Employee Relations Partner at AGC Biologics, you will play a key role in leading our efforts in relation to employee and labor relations matters at the Copenhagen site. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including union representatives, functional managers, and the legal team to ensure that our employment practices align with Danish labor legislation and industry standards.
You will work across our entire site with an emphasis on our largest teams in Manufacturing and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with Danish labor laws, regulations, and employment practices, including relevant collective agreements.
- Lead work related to the evolvement and maintenance of our local agreements.
- Lead resolution of selected employee cases, i.e., disciplinary matters, grievances, disputes, and other HR matters related to the employee life cycle.
- Lead local HR policy work in alignment with global policies.
- Provide expert advice to line managers to efficiently manage employee cases related to absence, sickness, and performance.
- Track and log employee cases as appropriate for compliance and reporting purposes
- Ensure P&C Business Partners are trained and equipped to handle repetitive cases and provide the necessary insight to shape training of line managers.
- Liaise with the Legal team as required.
- Advise on redundancy, termination, and severance matters.
- Provide mediation and/or conflict resolution support on employee matters as needed.
- Work with the P&C Operations team to draft and revise our HR policies as needed and maintain Employee Handbook documents.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with shop stewards and union representatives through bilateral meetings and participation in our corporation committee work.
- Training and Education: Organize training sessions and workshops for management on Labor law, company policies, and labour relations.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Danish labor law, regulations, and employment practices.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Employee Relations Specialist, HR legal counsel or Labor law expert in a Danish context.
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong communication skills mastering difficult conversations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Preferably bachelor’s or master's degree in law, Human Resources or related field
- Preferably working knowledge of IO and IFO collective agreements
- Proficient in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
It is advantageous with a background in life sciences or Medtech and experience from a production environment, but not a requirement.
