As a member of the COWI International team, you will support local and international projects across the transportation and energy sectors, including railways, highways, metros, marine, wind, hydro, and more.

You will be joined by hundreds of skilled experts, collaborating over the entire lifecycle of a project – from idea, concept and design, to operation and maintenance within our portfolio of tunnels & underground structures, bridges, complex structures, ground engineering and reclamation projects.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

In this position you will join our global team of experts within wind and you will work closely with the design teams and your Head of Section to solve the projects at hand. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will get an opportunity to work with large international and challenging projects with a broad range of services across the whole lifetime of a wind energy project.

As our new colleague, you are would provide technical contribution on wind energy projects in several of the areas below:

  • Design of steel structures, in particular offshore wind turbine foundations
  • Design support to reinforced concrete structures, onshore wind turbine foundations
  • Experience in design of both onshore and offshore foundations would be an advantage.
  • Design lead on larger project based on past experience of similar projects.
  • Supervise construction activities and components manufacturing for use in infrastructure and energy utilities.
  • Participate in planning, documentation and tendering of infrastructure for wind farms as well as participating in offshore projects in cooperation with our marine department.

Furthermore, for Offshore Steel Design you should:

  • Hold bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in civil engineering within structural or construction
  • have minimum 5 years of relevant work experience on wind energy projects including design of steel structures according to offshore codes along with some international work experience
  • Have thorough knowledge of steel design including fatigue loads
  • Hold experience with structural dynamics, numerical analysis and load assessments
  • Be able to maintain an overview in a busy and complex environment
  • Be able to work across disciplines and to manage cultural differences
  • Have experience in consultancy and/or project management as it will be considered an advantage

For Reinforced Concrete Structures Design, you should hold a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in civil engineering within structural or construction and have minimum 5 years of relevant work experience on design of reinforced concrete structures including wind energy projects.

You can additionally relate to the following:

  • Thorough knowledge of reinforced concrete structures and geotechnical design
  • Good understanding of structural behaviour
  • Experience in onshore foundation design will be considered an advantage
  • Experience in finite element modelling of structures will be considered an advantage
  • Experience in consultancy and/or project management will be considered an advantage
