At DTU Aqua, we seek an independent part time assistant with interest in laboratory analyses of different tissues and documentation of results to help us perform physiological and molecular studies. The position is related to the Fish Biology Research Group.
The Fish Biology Research Area focuses on generating new knowledge on developmental characteristics and physiological requirements of fish throughout their life history, thereby providing insights into population dynamics and ecosystem functioning as well as assisting conservation biology and aquaculture innovation.
The position is for one year and the right candidate could be a student.

We are looking for a person with experience in laboratory work and basic knowledge in physiology and anatomy. Previous experience with histology and molecular tools will be an advantage.
We expect you to be able to work independently solving appointed assignments. Furthermore, the research group comprise many nationalities, so ability to communicate in English is required.

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Building 202.

- Histology. Tissue preparation, sectioning and staining of sections.
- Molecular analyses. RNA/DNA extraction, cDNA synthesis and qPCR.
- Fish dissection with sampling for lab-analyses.
- Data registration and recording in databases.
