The Position
You will support our journey in digital innovation in close collaboration with our data scientists and data engineers by employing your front-end, customer focused mindset to develop tools and interfaces that allow quick and intuitive controls for data handling and planning.
You will have close collaboration with technicians, chemists and project managers to develop and improve solutions that help them in their daily work. Together with our data engineers you will be involved in end-to-end projects from ideation, development and deployment of solutions. You will be working on specific use cases in sprint style as well as various ad-hoc data-related or front-end tasks.

  • Internship period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months
  • Start date: 1 February 2021
  • Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
  • You need to be enrolled at a higher education institution
  • Full Time Danish work permit is required

Qualifications
You are currently studying a master’s degree in e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or similar with excellent results and a natural flair for programming and preferably experience with front-end development.
You:

  • Have a passion for creating solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Are comfortable manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
  • Have the ability to communicate complex solutions in a clear, precise and actionable way
  • Are Self-driven and able to solve programming problems independently
  • Have experience with programming. Preferably python and C# and the ability to transfer that knowledge to other tools is preferred.

We expect you will be good at what you do and have an eye for detail. You have a burning desire to learn new things and are curious about the processes and people you work with. You can work both independently and together with others.

About the department and Team
You will join Oral Protein Formulation (OPF) which is a part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family, focusing on late stage development of oral products. We make a real difference for patients with chronic diseases around the world. We develop, manufacture and analyse all new products coming out of our research units, ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of GLP-1 and other molecules.
OPF employs 140 people, where you will join the Future Manufacturing and Digital Innovation team working in close collaboration with the data engineers and data scientists. The team consists of 25 highly specialized colleagues with expertise ranging from programming and robotics to modelling and process experts. We work across OPF.
