The Position
You will support our journey towards continuous manufacturing/Industry 4.0 in close collaboration with our materials characterization experts by setting up analytical procedures, conducting measurements in the laboratory and analysing data from state-of the-art characterization techniques. In this way, you will be creating the foundation for tomorrow’s production processes.
You will have close collaboration with technicians, chemists and project managers to develop and improve characterization techniques that help them in their daily work. Together with our technicians and scientists, you will be working on one major specific use case as well as various ad-hoc tasks.
Internship period:
- The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months
- Start date: 1 February 2021
- Internships are remunerated, if your educational track allows
- You need to be enrolled at a higher education institution
- Full Time Danish work permit is required
Qualifications
You are currently studying a master’s degree in e.g. Pharmacy, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Food Science or similar with excellent results and a natural flair and interest in analytical development, materials science and process understanding.
You:
- Have experience with analytical techniques – preferably techniques related to analysis of powders and granules
- Have a keen interest in Materials Science and preferably Physics, Mechanics and Statistics
- Are self-driven and able to solve problems in the laboratory independently
- Have a passion for creating solutions in close collaboration with stakeholders
We expect you will be good at what you do and have an eye for detail. You have a burning desire to learn new things and are curious about the processes and people you work with. You can work both independently and together with others.
About the Department and Team
You will join Oral Protein Formulation (OPF) which is a part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D family, focusing on late stage development of oral products. We make a real difference for patients with chronic diseases around the world. We develop, manufacture and analyse all new products coming out of our research units, ensuring that we bring best-in-class treatments to the market. Our ambition is to develop break-through products based on orally available versions of GLP-1 and other molecules.
OPF employs 140 people, where you will join the Future Manufacturing and Digital Innovation team working in close collaboration with the materials characterization technicians and scientists. The team consists of 16 highly specialized colleagues with expertise ranging from programming and robotics to modelling and materials characterization. We work and support activities across OPF.
