This position is based at our office in Roskilde, where you will join our Legal & Compliance team, which provides legal advice and guidance to bec while ensuring bec's adherence to regulatory requirements, as well as identifying and reducing risk.
We are a team of 18 consisting of 7 legal counsels, 5 GDPR compliance advisors, 3 Outsourcing compliance advisors and an assistant and 2 students supporting all of us.
In the years to come we will establish and continuously develop a regulatory compliance function. We are searching for a person who will take on the task of driving the establishment and the subsequent daily operation of the function and thus be our regulatory compliance principal towards our management. The function will be manned by three dedicated team members including you. You will refer to and be strongly supported by Legal Director Alice Grünfeld, who will have the staff responsibility of the function.
The function and position are new in bec and thus, you will have a unique chance to design your own job/ways of working, as you will be the lead architect in close cooperation with our Legal Director and the other regulatory compliance team members.
We know our compliance purpose – to support that bec is compliant with regulatory requirements, but we also understand that we exist to support that bec can do business effectively and sustainably.
At bec, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office 3 days a week and with an option to work remotely for 2 days a week.

Primary task and responsibilities include:
- Driving the development of new regulatory compliance function
- Identify, monitor, asses, control, and report on bec’s regulatory compliance risks
- Maintain overview of current regulatory requirements on bec and pipeline overview of coming regulatory requirements
- Identify requirement owners in bec and advise the owners in their implementation of requirements and mitigation of regulatory compliance risks, including providing guidance on relevant bec policies and business procedures
- Conduct regulatory compliance reviews
- Produce high quality compliance reports to the executive team, the Board of Directors and to the management on bec’ compliance
- Participate in any bec in-house projects and committees, etc. with a regulatory compliance angle
To succeed you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with regulatory compliance within the financial sector
- A strong capability to independently drive, manage and execute change projects
- A solid understanding of the regulatory compliance/risk environment
- Solid experience in implementation of regulation
- High proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English
- A thorough eye for details and structure
- Professional pride in the quality of your work
- Exceptional stakeholder and people skills capable of working both independently and in teams
- Great personal credibility, establishing trust and confidence in your relations
- Ownership of professional development of yourself and bec as an organization
