Sensata Technologies Denmark develops Li-ion battery management systems (BMS), to control and monitor the increasingly and complex battery systems to support the green and sustainable transition. We are growing rapidly and are always looking for talented employees to develop and produce new generations of battery management systems for batteries in cars, trains, motorcycles, and solar panel energy storage.
The Systems Design Engineer designs a complete and complex framework, system or product and defines processes for technical platforms. This includes working with stakeholders and implementation of products, features and technologies.As a System Engineer within our team, you will be crucial in understanding the technical needs and defining system requirements for BMS development. Your expertise will ensure that our BMS solutions meet the needed ISO standards for functional safety, emphasizing reliability, efficiency, and innovation.
Responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with software, hardware, and testing teams to define clear system requirements for BMS development
• Leading the refinement of hardware and software requirements through effective teamwork across functional disciplines
• Leading the refinement of hardware and software requirements through effective teamwork across functional disciplines
• Defining testing criteria and refining system test cases to ensure robust validation of BMS functionality and performance
• Supporting the future development and maintainability of current platforms by capturing and integrating stakeholder requirements, adhering to safety standards, e.g. ISO26262 and ISO13849
• Keeping a keen eye to new tech trends within BMS and facilitate seamless integration of these into BMS development processes to enhance product performance and reliability.
Qualifications
• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with development within well-defined standards and procedures and the ability to ensure compliance with these standards in all phases of development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and requirements simultaneously, with a focus on timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Proficiency in documentation, meeting quality standards and specifications
• Fluency in English – both oral and written – is necessary.
