Reaching our target
We are looking for a director – Agile leadership who can significantly drive us further towards improved time-to-market, better flow and quality, higher engagement and more produced value.
As part of our commitment to excellence, we seek a director for Agile Leadership. You will lead our team of Release Train Engineers (RTEs) and SAFe Practice Consultants (SPCs) across our Agile Release Trains in Software Solutions (SWS). SWS is responsible for building fitting software used in hearing clinics, mobile apps for our end-users, and cloud services that connect our systems together.
The success criteria for this role include enabling learning across ARTs, improving our agile mindset across SWS, and building world-class lean-agile leadership competencies in SWS including people in agile roles as Scrum Masters, RTEs and SPCs.
The team of RTEs and SPCs are in Denmark and Poland and consists of capable and experienced RTEs and SPCs. The role as Director – Agile leadership can therefore be located at one of our sites in Szczecin, Warsaw and Smørum (Copenhagen).
Your main responsibilities are to:
- Champion SAFe Values and Principles: Further build on SAFe values and principles and be a lean-agile role model for RTEs, SPCs, and other agile roles in our organization.
- Inspire and Motivate: Lead and inspire your team of RTEs and SPCs to achieve ongoing improvements and drive experimentation and learning. Share good practices across SWS.
- Optimize and Innovate: Optimize flow, utilize system thinking, and support innovation, experimentation, and learning.
- Create an Attractive Work Environment: Build an attractive work environment that fosters collaboration and growth.
The director is a member of the SWS Leadership Team (LT). The LT is working together with several strategic initiatives with the purpose of improving our development, products and employee engagement significantly. The director will also contribute to these initiatives. This requires strategic thinking, product development experience and technical understanding as well as excellent stakeholder management skills.
About SWS
SWS started the SAFe implementation back in 2021 and completed the implementation approximately one year later. Since then, we have improved our SAFe implementation in terms of better understanding of SAFe and agile product development, quality, automation, well-functioning learning loops and much more.
SWS is part of Hearing Instrument Group, HIG, who is also working in SAFe. HIG consists of software development, hardware development, marketing, etc. Lean Portfolio Management is implemented across HIG. We have built a matrix organization with SAFe being fully accountable for deliverables and a line organization accountable for our employees including training, hiring, and other employee processes.
Your background
- Extensive experience in Agile transformations and in-depth SAFe knowledge.
- Proven track record as a change leader with several large transformations.
- Strong leadership skills in product development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passionate about driving and sustaining organizational change.
