European Energy covers all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation and divestment of assets. Our company of 140 employees has since 2004 installed more than 1.5 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 20 different nationalities at our office in Søborg, Copenhagen. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society.
You will be heading our global EPC team and be part of our management group with reference to our CEO. As EPC Director you will be the technical and commercial lead of all on- and offshore wind and PV projects in construction, making sure that we progress and deliver successfully from ready-to-build stage till the projects are grid connected.
Your main responsibilities will include developing and leading our engineering, procurement, construction and product innovation department, which currently consists of 20 employees.
All projects involve close cooperation with financial, legal and commercial colleagues as well as external stakeholders. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will assess feasibility and commercial potential of projects. Furthermore you will prioritize the advancement on our project pipeline – which currently consists of 9 GW with the future aim of constructing 1 GW per year.
Finally, you will contribute to create best practice solutions and help us excel during the construction of our projects.
It is essential that you possess strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and that you are motivated by completing projects successfully and going the extra mile. It is very important that you have the leadership skills to motivate and develop your team.
The position entails navigating in a dynamic environment with many stakeholders and occasional challenges, which is why you must thrive with unforeseen events and shifts in priorities.

- Head and develop your team, including goal setting, performance management, coaching and training
- Lead our project realization from ready-to-build till grid connected (COD)
- Drive construction processes for our solar and wind projects
- Product Innovation
- Project excellence, making sure that we deliver on time within the budget
Professional skills we expect from you:
- You have completed a master at university level or an equivalent institution within engineering
- At least 8-10 years of experience, preferably from a similar role
- Experience with the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar technologies
- Full professional proficiency in English, Danish is an advantage
- Strong leadership skills
