IFRS Specialist

European Energy is an international company in exponential growth. We develop, build and operate wind and solar parks globally as well as Power-to-X and energy storage projects. Consequently, we play a significant role in resolving the climate issues by reducing the world’s CO2 emissions. We are around 300 employees with 25 different nationalities, and we have installed green energy projects for over 18 billion DKK since 2004. Our HQ is in Søborg with a view of Copenhagen.
As our new IFRS Specialist, you will be in close contact with the business to find adequate and robust solutions to balancing the business and IFRS requirements. You will continuously stay updated on current and coming accounting regulation and ensure that the company is compliant with latest regulation. You will take the technical lead on significant accounting projects with the ability to convert the theoretical framework to an applicable operational approach. Moreover, you will play a significant role in the preparation of interim and annual reporting and have close contact to external auditors.
As a person, you have high level of IFRS knowledge combined with solid practical experience on complex accounting matters. You work independently with a holistic approach, and you are able to see “the big picture”, while ensuring appropriate attention to relevant details. You have solid communication skills and find yourself working well with internal stakeholders across departments and at all levels as well as external stakeholders. You moreover thrive working in an international environment with fast growth.

Responsibilities
- Interim and annual reporting, including contact to other departments in European Energy and external auditors
- Complex accounting matters
- Development of finance manual
- Training of the finance and business community in European Energy
Your Profile
- You have +5 years of experience working with IFRS in corporations or experience from IFRS reporting from a Big4 firm
- You are a state authorized/certified public accountant or hold a master’s degree (cand.merc.aud)
- You have well-developed skills within communication, stakeholder- and project management
- You act with integrity and accountability, take initiative and ownership, and you are able to work independently to deliver timely and in high quality
- You have full professional proficiency in English
- Knowledge about Hyperion (HFM) and SmartView is an advantage
