We are searching for a maternity cover until 1st February 2023, ideally with a MSc in Design and Innovation or similar, newly educated or with a few years of experience.

At Ferrosan Medical Devices, we develop haemostatic products that surgeons in over 100 countries worldwide use to manage bleedings during surgeries. As a matter of fact, we have developed haemostasis product since 1947 and we are proud of our contribution to improved patient outcomes during surgery.
Your new team, Clinical Insights, ensures user feedback throughout the development process from idea to market release. Our deep understanding of user needs, and users’ environment set the direction for the development. We bring along usability expertise to bring the best possible product to the marketplace that is effective, safe and has a high degree of ease of use.
You can expect a warm welcome in the team consisting of two colleagues, as we appreciate helpfulness and a team spirit focused on having a good time while creating the best results together. Clinical Insights is a team in the New Business Development Department together with Product Innovation, Product Development, and Project Execution.
You will be part of an early-stage product development team with colleagues from Product Innovation and Product Development to set the direction for the development along with collaboration of colleagues from quality assurance, regulatory assurance, technology innovation and commercial development.

In this role you will:
- Conduct voice of customer research to identify user needs and understand users’ environment within surgery
- Interpret the findings and present the recommendations to the rest of the development team
- Conduct formative testing from planning, recruitment of respondents, moderating the testing or engaging with third party, writing the report to presenting the results
- Continuously develop and improve the design of the product in close collaboration with the rest of the product development team
- Create early-stage documentation as input to the usability engineering file for the project
The ideal candidate:
- You have a MSc in Design and Innovation or similar, newly educated or with a few years of experience
- You know how to retrieve valuable insights from users through application of voice of customer and usability engineering methods and can translate them into design requirements and inputs together with the project team
- Ability to work diligently, in depth and very structured with multiple usability documents
- Understanding of the IEC 62366 usability engineering standard and the FDA guidance
- You have strong collaboration skills
- Fluency in Danish and English, written and verbally
