Local Engagement Manager (parental cover)
Would you like to work with local engagement in renewable projects? And would you like to be part of a renewable energy company in rapid growth? Then you are our new local engagement manager.
European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover the entire value chain within wind and solar (PV) projects, from greenfield development to construction, operation, and divestment. Our company of over 350 employees handles a pipeline of more than 15.0 GW of renewable energy in various project stages. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil-free society.
We have an aspiration to work more with engaging local communities when we develop our projects through commitment and involvement. We believe that the local communities wish to engage if we as a company give opportunities for involvement in our renewable projects.
As our Local Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for implementing our newly developed strategy for local engagement – externally and internally. Together with our sustainability team we will support our different markets in adapting the strategy locally to ensure a stronger backup to our projects.

The position is a six months’ parental cover with the possibility of extension.

Tasks
- Implementation of new strategy internally by training our Project Managers
- Development of tools according to the strategy
- Support the project teams in working with the new strategy
- Establish local partnerships that can support the strategy
- Evaluate the effect of the strategy
Your profile
- You have a master’s degree within communications, social or political science, or business administration
- You have work experience with engagement and involvement inside renewable energy or other sectors
- You speak Danish and English at a professional level
- You like to communicate and understand the power of partnerships
- You have an extrovert personality and enjoys being in center of the action
- You understand the importance of planning and structure
- You have experience in MS Office
