Engineering Manager, Power-to-X

European Energy is a Danish privately owned company in rapid growth. We cover all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and in some cases divestment of assets as well as Power-to-X. Our company of +450 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2.0 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 30 different nationalities at our HQ in Copenhagen and our offices in 16 other locations, primarily in Europe. Our vision is to be a major global presence in guiding the green transition.
You will be part of our Power-to-X department which today consists of 25 committed colleagues. We are currently working on several utility scale projects in Denmark as well as North and South America. As Engineering Manager, you will have an important role in the team and get the chance to work with some of the biggest Power-to-X plants in an innovative department where you will get the chance to shape your role.
From day one you will be involved in the planning of new projects from early stage during the project development and you will be instrumental in defining the design strategy for each Power-to-X project.
You will also be responsible for supervising the resources in your team which currently includes 5 permanent employees and 8 consultants securing timely availability of resources. You will get to develop comprehensive project design plans that merge customer and authority requirements with company goals. You will also monitor the project design progress continuously and be in close contact with the technical project managers.
You will have an integral part in establishing efficient and effective systems for design and engineering and implement a planning tool to the level of deliverables.
Areas of responsibilities
· Responsible for overall design and engineering technical project execution on all Power-to-X Projects
· Supervise engineering and technical project managers
· Coordination and scheduling of all design activities – inhouse and outsourced
· Establishing, improving, and maintaining engineering and design systems
· Hiring and training of new employees
Your profile
· You have at least 10 years of experience from designing and engineering process plants.
· You have an Engineering degree
· You have experience supervising an engineering and project organization
· You have very good oral and written communication skills in English
