As a key member of our team, you will become part of an enthusiastic and diverse international group, comprising motivated professionals with extensive clinical, research, and pharmaceutical expertise in both global and regional/local settings. Leveraging your vast expertise, you will play a crucial position, operating independently to lead strategic discussions and decision-making processes for key projects related to semaglutide in obesity, cardiovascular disease and other obesity-related complications. Your responsibilities will include: Shape the strategy by providing patient and medical perspectives (insights for strategy) Leading strategic projects within the product specific committees Collaborating closely with key stakeholders from various cross-functional teams Working cross-functionally to generate, interpret, and effectively communicate scientific data emerging on all phases of clinical trials of business development assets Successfully collaborate and communicate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal stakeholders, including regional teams, affiliates, marketing, patient access, development, and regulatory affairs The Associate Global Medical Director will act as operational lead for key projects with responsibility for execution of our medical strategies and also represent the area in project teams and/or governance bodies. The position is based at our office in Søborg (Greater Copenhagen Area), Denmark. Worldwide travel is a requirement in alignment with our Circular for Zero policy. Qualifications We are looking for experienced medical professional who, personally, fosters genuine teamwork, and nurturing positive relationships within a diverse and dynamic international environment as of utmost importance. Our team comprises diverse individuals with excellent interpersonal skills along with friendly demeanor, and it's important for us to add personnel who will seamlessly integrate. A successful candidate is expected to have: Medical background (MD/PhD) is desired wit1h relevant clinical experience. Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience within Medical Affairs Experience with product commercialization and/or life-cycle management. Professional focus in obesity and/or cardiometabolic disease is considered a plus. Strong communication and presentation skills, as well as the ability to lead and drive cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Strategic and critical thinking that allow you to anticipate opportunities and take initiative to address them effectively. Fluency in spoken and written English is a requirement. The Semaglutide Obesity team is part of the Obesity CVP area in Global Medical Affairs, located in Søborg, near Copenhagen in Denmark. Our department is focused on building and executing medical strategies for semaglutide in obesity (injectable and oral formulation), CVD and other related complications. We aim to advance the field of obesity care through scientific exchange and dialogue with the external medical community. We are also working close with the commercial organization on with product launches and life-cycle management incl. new indications/label extensions. In addition, the team is also supporting a number of early incretin-based projects in early clinical development for the treatment of obesity. Working at
