Then here is your chance to make a real difference in a challenging position as CTO for our client CareCom in rapid growth.
CareCom's software solution HealthTerm helps governments, hospitals and healthcare systems with normalization of clinical codes, mapping local codes to standards, supplying and ‘cleaning’ content in patient journal systems. They are experiencing an increasing demand for enterprise terminology management and you will see CareCom software installations both in larger and smaller healthcare public or private companies from Europe to New Zealand to the US.
As more and more IT systems are integrated in healthcare networks all over the world, there is a large demand for a central terminology management. To be able to run efficient analytics, population health and to ensure interoperability in the healthcare eco systems – you will need clean and standardized data to provide better care for the patients.
The position
As CTO you will be responsible for the development team consisting of currently 10 software engineers, and the team is growing. You will report to the CEO and founder of CareCom and you will be part of the CareCom Management Team.
You are expected to be driven by a hands-on approach in general, to do coding as well as leading your team. You will act as a 'playing coach' and work together with your team to achieve your goals.
The tasks of the development team are to build new features to the HealthTerm product, as well as making sure the existing product is maintained and developed. They use agile Scrum-adapted processes and you make sure that they continuously improve high standards for code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Together with the Product Owner and Head of Sales, you will attend customer meetings and will be the technical advisor as to which architecture & solutions can be developed in the most optimal way in order to meet customer needs.
Last but not least, you will work closely with the entire organization, especially on a daily basis with the Head of Product & Implementation, and together you plan sprints and development priorities.
Personal & professional skills
You get energy from setting the direction, and you are proud to be a role model for your team members, either as Team Lead or CTO. You are motivated by balancing independent work as well as heading up a team with strong and highly skilled multicultural specialists and you have a strong will to be moving them forward as individuals and as a team.
You must be extraordinary with regard to coding Java & PostGRESQL applications on the backend as well as an advanced frontend knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML etc. You probably have a master’s degree in computer science or similar.
You naturally challenge status quo while respecting the individual and the history. You are highly ambitious about developing great software and sharing your deep knowledge of sustainable architecture and code, and you have a profound passion for constantly solving customer pains. Also, this demands a very good understanding of business processes in large enterprises - and previous experience from the health care sector and or growth companies will be a plus.
You possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English is necessary, preferably also fluency in Danish.
