The position We are looking for a new team member who can drive sourcing activities in large projects – this could be investments in R&ED (Research and Early Development) production facilities, expansion of laboratories, and automation of research activities. As an Associate Sourcing professional/P2P, your main responsibilities will include: Being responsible for converting R&ED scientists (LoB – Line of Business) needs and business requirements into actionable buying strategies and tactics. Coordinating purchasing activities such as generating, managing, reconciling forecasts and schedules across to optimise for bundling and pooling of orders. Monitoring the acquisition of materials to ensure on time delivery and mitigate changes in delivery, as well as running speed negotiations with suppliers on low spend items. Managing component supply and inventory levels for product lines, planning, purchasing of required materials and ensuring flow to the laboratories. Understanding and communicating specifications to suppliers, including the ability to read drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications. Your co-workers would characterize you as a self-sufficient individual who also works well in a team environment and consistently strives for excellent business outcomes. You take initiative to take advantage of chances, overcome obstacles, and manage risk. Along with having great execution abilities, strong communication, and a toolkit for cooperation, you are also service-minded and like offering direct operational help. You can operate under pressure and are at ease in a dynamic, ever-changing work environment. In addition, you ensure procurement compliance and are a Super User of the tools and processes for invoicing and purchasing. Qualifications We are open to hire different levels of seniority, from graduates to profiles with 2 years of experience in purchasing with significant results and: A technical or administrative university degree. Skilled MS Office user. Knowledge in Coupa or SAP is a plus. Fluent written and spoken English. Preferably, Danish skills. About the department We build strategies and execute improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend of DKK 40 billion related to, e.g. R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services, and IT. The R&D and laboratory sourcing department supports the global R&D organization and is responsible for ensuring the products and services supply required to conduct research from a molecule to a product that will help millions of people around the world.
