For the position as International Brand Manager, STG is looking for a strong commercial marketeer to drive and develop the brand portfolio for one of the biggest profit pools in Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
The position reports to Marketing Manager for Regional and Premium brands and the overall role is to drive the strategic & commercial agenda for the regional brands portfolio. The successful candidate will oversee the marketing cycle focused on identifying and executing profit growth initiatives for the portfolio. This will span across development of growth and simplification plans, partnering with supply chain on development of concrete initiatives and partnering with markets and our commercial excellence team on driving strong execution in markets.
The International Brand Manager will drive the 3-year planning process with focus on building strong plans and initiatives that will deliver sustainable profit growth across the portfolio. This entails driving strong portfolio management and brand focused business development initiatives across markets with focus on simplifying the brand portfolio and building stronger strategic brands. In other words, an opportunity to play a central part in the further development and simplification of the regional brand portfolio.

To succeed in this position and build a career in Scandinavian Tobacco Group the right candidate has already shown strong results within FMCG marketing/brand management and has a proven successful track-record from a similar position. The ideal candidate possesses an international mindset, but is able to gain local as well as global insights and leverage these to build winning plans and initiatives. The candidate is both inspiring and assertive, and able to motivate and influence stakeholders across the organization and functions. Solid business and commercial understanding is a must, and experience with project management is an strong advantage. Interpersonal skills and project management skills enables the International Brand Manager to network and build relations across national borders as well as between functions.
The desire to work with international categories and brands is essential to the success, and the right candidate has accumulated significant insights into consumers in general, along with a proven track record of driving business development projects. Solid business and commercial understanding is a must, and experience with project management is an strong advantage – this includes stakeholder management. Interpersonal skills and project management skills enables the International Brand Manager to network and build relations across national borders as well as between functions.

The position will be based in Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s Head Office in Gentofte, Denmark and should expect to travel as part of the job.

- Drive the strategic and commercial business agenda for the brand portfolio through brand centered business development and portfolio management in support of our markets
- Continuously securing relevance and meaning of the Regional brands and drive winning brand experience (Smoking, Format, Look & Feel and Activation) that brings positioning to life, and ensures STG brands are recognized and easy to buy
- Developing and executing simplification and innovation opportunities across the portfolio to drive sustainable profit growth in strong collaboration with supply chain, markets, and commercial excellence
- Handling the daily business with both internal (markets, procurement, supply chain, etc.) and external (design, packaging, etc.) partners
- Managing the portfolio and individual brand budgets
Criteria for success
The new International Brand Manager will after a short amount of time ensure PROFIT growth through categories, portfolios and brands by performing the following:
- Commercially driven initiatives in line with market roles and strategies
- Think value creation to drive pricing agenda
- Optimize and simplify portfolio in the declining segments
- Enable markets to outperform the winning segments
- Strong collaboration across functions with aligned roles & responsibilities
- Be accountable for own part and help drive performance in the division.

- has a creative mind-set and understand how to analyze and utilize trends, consumer behaviour and market development
- has solid business understanding, experience with project management and profound understanding of marketing fundamentals
- has previous experience from working with the full value chain, with special focus on building relationship to the supply chain organization
- Strong project management skills able to ensure continuous development
- has outstanding communication skills and are fluent in English; both spoken and written
- is not easily ruffled, thrive with high level of dynamic circumstances and have the ability to balance focus on both long-term pipeline and short-term project execution, as well continuous tracking / post analysis
