Procurement System Analyst
DFDS is looking for a Procurement System Analyst with the purpose of strengthening Group Procurement by adding focus on how we can enhance our procurement systems across the group to automate, digitalize and improve the department’s and DFDS´ ability to make solid data driven decisions
DFDS is a European company with Group Procurement as a centralized function. Over the past years DFDS has been on a journey to standardize systems and processes and are right now well underway to implement a new ERP system across the group – an initiative that will improve Group Procurement’s opportunity for creating value across the organization even further.
Group Procurement is placed in some locations across Europe and you will have different stakeholders in different departments – both internally and externally. The role will be located in the DFDS head office in Copenhagen and be reporting into the VP, Group Procurement.

Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be in the areas of business intelligence and master data management, which are the two key areas in the digital procurement journey.
Performance
- You will identify key performance indicators relevant for your how we procure in DFDS, extract, analyze and prepare reports to measure performance of suppliers and internal customers.
- You will also liaise and work closely with the BI department to fulfill the reporting needs of Group Procurement.
Data
- You will be responsible for working with the different stakeholders of master data to understand how the data is being used by them.
- You will work with Master data departments to improve and enable digitization in Group Procurement
- You will collaborate with Category Managers to increase focus on master data integrations via EDI (electronic data interchange) and work closely with the supplier’s IT department, EDI team and the master data team to get it developed, tested and implemented.
System & process
- You will be responsible for the procurement development backlog in following systems holding a P2P process: Sertica and LS Retail, and work closely with your colleague who will be responsible for the P2P process in the future MD365 ERP system.
- You will work closely with IT and Group Procurement colleagues in identifying how to automate any current or planned information-driven processes
- You will need a good portion of curiosity around processes and process optimization and a general desire to understand and trust data.
Professional Qualifications
Our internal stakeholders are skilled & knowledgeable, so it is important that you have the right interpersonal qualifications and possess solid analytical skills to back it up. We are looking for a person with the following qualifications
- A bachelors or a master’s degree in supply chain/finance/IT
- 1-3 years’ experience in IT/procurement
- Basic knowledge of databases (knowledge of SQL is a plus)
- Basic knowledge reg. RPA (Robotics Process Automation) fx. Kapow, Tableau and Power BI is an advantage
- You are a self-starter capable of working autonomously
- You have good collaboration skills and ability to work effectively as a team member
- Your English language skills, both oral and written, are excellent and you are a proficient IT user
