Who are we?
Opening in September 2021, NH Collection Copenhagen will be the debut of NH Hotel Group in Denmark. The five-star hotel will bring together premium facilities, inspiring design and personalized service. The characteristic property, known locally by the name Ørkenfortet, stands as an architectural landmark at Knippelsbro and marks the entrance to Christianshavn and Amager districts. The visible location on Torvegade and the distinctive look of the building makes it almost impossible not to spot the hotel when you pass by. The hotel will be home to 394 warm and elegant rooms, 3 bars & restaurants and 940 square metres of meeting space. The hotel is set to become a leader in sustainability, making it a new flagship property for NH Collection.
What will be your main tasks?
During the pre-opening phase:
It is important that an inventory is made of the current technical conditions of the building so that a long-term vision regarding maintenance can be drawn up. In this phase you will working closely with the Hotel Director and the BU ManagerMaintenance, Engineering & Environment
When opened:
You will be responsible for periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/ cleaning of equipment, preparations for renovations and participate in them. You will also supervise the compliance regulations in the field of Health & Safety, HACCP, and work and performance methods.

When opened:
You will be responsible for periodic inspections, checks and maintenance/ cleaning of equipment, preparations for renovations and participate in them. You will also supervise the compliance regulations in the field of Health & Safety, HACCP, and work and performance methods.
- you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the hotel. Together with your team, you will rectify all technical issues, carry out repairs, maintain installations, plumbing and lighting
- You will manage all the maintenance contracts with external companies regarding issues in elevators, air conditioning, cooling and sprinkler installations
NH Hotel Group believes it is important to operate sustainably, making energy consumption a focus point and one of your main tasks to manage.
The ideal candidate:
- Has a strong personality who has substantial knowledge of technical systems and who can maintain a clear overview of the entire maintenance operation.
- Can communicate efficiently and effectively both in written and verbal communication.
- Is educated or has experience in installation technology, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
- Has excellent leadership skills and can lead a team
- Has excellent organizational skills and is flexible in working-hours
- Can perform and plan preventive maintenance
- Supervises external suppliers and evaluates work performed by third parties
- Has affinity with administrative systems and a good knowledge of Microsoft office, outlook and SAP
- Has experience in the hotel industry
- Has a proactive attitude
- Is fluent in Danish and English and possibly another foreign language
