Nel Hydrogen A/S. The company is currently 105 employees and expects to maintain a strong growth in the coming years. Nel Hydrogen is a frontrunner when it comes to the development of hydrogen fuel stations used for the refueling of hydrogen vehicles. The market for hydrogen stations will maintain its growth in the coming years, as large-scale production of hydrogen cars will be launched in the coming years. About the department and the position
As Nel Hydrogen projects includes a wide range of technics, the T&D organization is organized in several technical skills: Project, Documentation, Process, Electrical, Mechanical, CAD, Software and Test. Projects follow the Nel Hydrogen product development process and will have technical sponsors from the rest of the T&D Department - to secure input for specifications. While projects are coordinated by Project Managers the technical teams are responsible for the development of the design packages, while interacting with other T&D Teams.
For a newly created position we are looking for an Approval Engineer to the Systems Engineering Team in T&D Department. You will play a key role and be responsible for the coordination of all activities related to having a refueling station approved for commercial use in different countries.
Your tasks will include:
You will work closely with your colleagues in the Systems Engineering Team, as well as with rest of the T&D organization, Service Department and Production. You will report directly to the Team Lead for the Systems Engineering Team and your place of work will be the facility in Herning, Denmark.
About you
We are looking for a person who is educated as an engineer and has a strong technical background and competencies to understand the product from years of work with technical components or systems. You are experienced in the process of getting a product approved and can drive the process together with internal and external partners. A good understanding of different design standards ATEX, UL, PED, ASME etc. is an advantage. You are experienced in developing technical documentation using MS-Office software.
As a person you are open minded and able to interact with other team members in an international organization. You are result oriented, calm under pressure and know how important it is to follow up on deliverables, ensuring that everything runs according to plans. You are able to have different project approval processes going simultaneously and you are a strong communicator able to visualize your ideas and to build up arguments. You are able to motivate yourself and to encourage other team members and must be fluent in English both verbal and written.

- Understand the technical requirements to design and document equipment ranging from simple to extremely complex systems
- Interact with third parties on getting the product approved
- Question the requirements from third party and willing to challenge the demands
- Provide legislation interpretations and solutions to support the design of new products
