The Platform Product Owner is responsible for designing and coordinating the development and deployment of innovative platform products as well as ensuring that the development stay aligned with the platform, business and internal product goals and KPI benefits.to support the commercial scaling
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Business Product Owner and Global process lead in developing the product roadmap and developing user stories and product’s technical requirements
• Work closely with platform customer to identify platform’s efficiency gap for its customer and define technical roadmap and user stories to bridge those gaps.
• Responsible for ensuring platform, internal product and operation teams have a holistic understanding of the product’s value proposition as defined by documentation (PRFAQ) to develop technical and operational solution along with delivery processes to support the value proposition.
• Own and Actively manage the platform product backlog including clearly defining product backlog items and prioritizing items based on business/internal product goals and optimization of work in the agile team
• Own sprint planning and grooming meetings to refine user stories to provide the engineering team with clear requirements and define how success will be measured at the end of each sprint for each story.
• Act as a subject matter expert for business/ internal Product teams, providing insight, context and additional information as needed to help understanding of what is required to deliver the value proposition to the customer from a platform perspective
• Working collaboratively and coach other Platform Product Owners & Managers across platform organization to refine the backlog and identify cross journey dependencies
• Work cross-functional to ensure that the agile team has what is needs and remove blockers that prevent the agile team to maximize the delivery of digital products
• Drive or support continuous improvement initiatives related to product ownership and agile processes
Reporting & Analytics skills:
• BI & data warehousing – Strong background in managing BI and data warehousing product portfolios.
• Descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics – Knows the latest analytics trends and has experience in maturing reporting & analytics products across the descriptive/predictive/prescriptive maturity model.
• Visualitics – Knows that reporting and analytics goes beyond spreadsheets. Demonstratable experience with visualizing data in creative manners.
• Big data – Experience in running big data projects/ programs
• AI/ ML technologies – Is experienced in the field of AI/ ML technologies and knows how to use them to take reporting & analytics to the next level.
Product owner skills:
• Demonstrates a combination of a technical engineering knowledge and an effective business acumen
• Ability to apply agile and data analysis technics for creating user stories and acceptance criteria
• Ability to take ownership of complex and important products, and make effective decisions
• Delivery focused with excellent attention to detail and drive to resolve issues
• Stimulates creative ideas and perspectives that add value
• Ability to demonstrate strong Maersk leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions
• Ability to understand the complexity of Maersk business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business
• Customer centricity
