The Business Product Owner is the single threaded owner of one or more business products, responsible for the global P&L of the product as well as the end to end product lifecycle from product definition to development and management to discontinuation. Product management includes owning the vision and ideating new products and features, aligning the portfolio with Maersk’s integrator strategy, preparing customer journeys, epics, PR/FAQ and roadmap, overseeing the technology and operations development, weighing major architecture and operations choices and advocating Maersk’s product best.
The role may be based also from The Hague, Netherlands.

Product Vision and Thought Leadership
• Responsible for thought leadership and long-term vision for the product and ideating and maturing new concepts jointly with customers and commercial functions
• Works closely with customers to understand and qualify their needs and create differentiated value propositions that profitably address market opportunities and industry trends, creating a competitive advantage for Maersk
• Be a thought leader on needs of mid-size customers within Maersk
P&L Ownership
• Responsible for P&L and making sure the product is fit for purpose and operating at the lowest cost to serve
• Responsible for pricing of product and add-ons
• Cooperate with Lead Logistics Growth team to enable growth initiatives
• Cooperate with Lead Logistics Customer Experience team to ensure high quality service and productivity improvements
Product Development
• Responsible for defining long and short term roadmap of the product, ensuring the product grows from MVP to fully scaled product
• Responsible for driving annual and quarterly product & technology funding initiatives
• Lead team of product managers in executing the roadmap and creating market leading capabilities
• Ensure that platform, engineering and UX teams have a clear understanding of product and work with them to ensure product is developed with desired quality and according to plan
• Responsible for measuring product user feedback (internal & external customers) and addressing gaps
• Be in charge of E2E product lifecycle
• Advocating product management best practices and establishing Maersk as a world class reference in product management
• Product management experience in leadership positions
• Supply chain/logistics experience
• Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker
• Ability to identify customer needs and pain points using qualitative and quantitative data
• Demonstrates a combination of customer oriented business acumen with effective technology knowledge, leveraging agile methods in approach and practices
• Ability to drive product development across a team of diverse stakeholders to deliver world class capabilities, features and products
