The Business Platforms organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The Platforms help enable Maersk’s vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting and simplifying customers’ supply chains. Additionally, the team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems and processes, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.

We are looking for an ambitious Platform Product Owner to mature and implement a cross-platform toolkit, to connect and standardize the internal user journey and experience.

Key responsibilities


The Platform Product Owner is responsible to both implement the product together with other products, but also must ensure Maersk reaps the benefits from using this toolkit. This includes strong collaboration with the business and engineering teams of other platforms, and ensuring the implementation is done in a way that is scalable and agile. After the implementation, the Platform Product Owner will gather the insights from the unified workflow and telemetry to ensure that we optimize our way of working and we eliminate customer issues. We do this to create an industry-leading, uniform user and experience across different products, functions, while keeping costs at a minimum. The role will focus on implementing the wireframe for new products, and ensuring we derive business value from it.

Responsibilities for this role include:
• Stakeholder mapping and onboarding for potential use cases and benefits
• Build partnership with technology and business across platforms and co-create the solutions
• Define the long-term strategy and ensure stakeholder alignment
• Launch market-leading software products and solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage.
• Ensure scalability is done in a structured way, so that the tools are used in the same manner
• Coordinate with technical teams by having a good understanding of enterprise architecture, database modelling and system interfacing to bring out the best possible solutions.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to make sure the business benefit is realized, and the customer issues prevented
• Coordinate with technology to make sure the technical benefits are achieved, though faster deliverables and reusable components

We are looking for


The ideal candidate will have solid business and product owner knowledge and understanding. You have good experience from project development and frontline experience.

Other qualifications are:
• 4+ years’ experience in developing and deploying digital products
• 2+ years’ experience in frontline, in a function that covers multiple processes
• 2+ years’ Experience in freight forwarding
• Demonstrate a techno-functional approach to problems by showing a good level of business understanding but at the same time diving deep into technical details
• Demonstrate a combination of awareness of software engineering concepts with strong experience in agile project management and effective business acumen
• Ability to deliver results in complex environment and relentlessly identifying hurdles and managing resolution through engagement and value based trade-offs with stakeholders along with strong attention to detail
• Experience in managing and influencing a diverse, global team of product managers, UX and design, content, marketing and ecommerce, in a matrixed environment
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business case
