We offer


A unique strategic operational management role where you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, improving [and executing] processes performed by CS staff to optimally support the business products global processes for lead logistics in Maersk.

In addition, your primary responsibilities will include developing new technological solutions in close collaboration with the platform teams to drive strategic outcomes for customer service functions, globally.

You will play an active role in working with SCM product, IT, commercial, finance and other customer experience functional teams in shaping/executing strategic initiatives to support Maersk global business objectives as well as driving/leading optimization and standardization initiatives and to work with global and area BPO/SMEs to improve the operational capability of Lead Logistics products.

Key responsibilities


You will have 2 main areas of responsibility amongst other things:

Process design & implementation:
• Define, create and implement global processes for core execution covering Origin, International Transport Management (ITM) and Destination covering Supply Chain Origin Management (SCOM), Supply Chain Destination Management, Maersk Flow, Maersk Booking Services and NeoNav products.
• Lead and develop strategic direction for customer service, enhancing digitization and automation journey.
• Lead functional product ideation, development and launch through developing of and delivering on business cases, realizing the benefits for system developments and enhancements – across platforms.
• Lead and deliver epics for tech development to platform product owner. Coordinate with business product owner as needed.
• Collaborate with business product teams to design and define the operability of new products and take part in new product development.
• Lead, conduct, create and coordinate the user acceptance/business scenario testing on a regular basis for the developed functionalities being launched for global usage and adoption.
• Create and own the development of SME (subject matter expert) community across Maersk. Ensure that SME community plays a key role in application development, research, testing and roll out.
• Sign off the developed functionalities for release to customer service function, customers and external parties.
• Lead and own the development of training material for all operational platforms – existing and future. And make sure that the development of the training material via different teams is upto an excellent standard.
• Support customer implementation and migration and exception sign off in customer and location operations.
• Create global manual and contingency operations processes that can be followed by customer service offices and GSCs across Maersk.

Process governance:
• Plan, define and implement global operational standards, policies and performance metrics covering customer experience and productivity.
• Govern the process to ensure it meets required quality and compliance standards (GIA findings, revenue/cost leakage avoidance)
• Set-up and coordinate documentation and knowledge sharing portals for system usage, user guides and information that users can use.

We are looking for


The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of overall supply chain experience with large Lead Logistics account management combined with role/operational leadership/ Lead Logistics product management experience.

Furthermore you:

• Ability to learn and work in an agile framework with multiple stakeholders on a dynamic application development environment.
• Extensive and current knowledge of end to end Lead Logistics (LL) covering air, ocean and multi modal freight management concepts.
• Excellent communication, networking, interpersonal and influencing skills to communicate and command respect at all levels. Ability to effectively communicate in diverse technical, cultural, and language environment.
• Strategically astute to connect detailed operational concepts to what value they drive both for company and its customers for long term benefits.
• Strong ability to relate the operational processes with practical implications to customers and operational teams, thereby making a balanced judgement.
• Analytical with proven proficiency in translating complex concepts and business requirements into easy to understand communication.
• Ability to develop compelling business cases for improvements and get buy-in from senior stakeholders for execution.
• Excellent project management skills to drive multiple global projects at same time and ensuring a full closure to agreed outcome.
• Ability to effectively work in a remote environment with multiple stakeholders and team members across globe and in different time zones.
• Strong technical acumen to grasp different technologies and tools for their application and relevance to operational purposes.
• Having worked in various geographies and/or having managed a scope spanning across multiple countries is be a plus.
