WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
If you are passionate about data excellence and leveraging your technology expertise and leadership skills to embed strong data governance and high ethical standards in the technology landscape and organisation - then this role is an excellent opportunity to drive change in a space that is pioneered in Denmark and EU.
You will join our Data Ethics team, which defines, enables, and governs the practice of ethical collection, storage, and use of data and responsible AI across Maersk. The team implements the Maersk Data Ethics Policy by overseeing and rolling out our Data Ethics program and ensure our platforms, data products and AI solutions protect and respect our partners and employees’ data. Additionally, you will join a virtual team in driving data excellence across Maersk by taking ownership of managing cross-functional initiatives including M&A integration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We offer a role with plenty of opportunity to perform and grow:
Facilitate the definition of standards, policies and principles whilst effectively enable Maersk to be ahead of the curve on how we live up to our ambition on data ethics and data excellence
Own parts of the Data Ethics roadmap. Co-Shape and execute the roadmap aimed at implementing required data protection standards, controls, automated reporting and organizational assets
Own initiatives for the wider Data Excellence portfolio with focus on driving data quality and address risks
Manage our data and master data M&A initiatives, engage with our integration teams
Provide thought leadership and virtual team leadership across teams involved in data ethics and data excellence
Work with leaders across Maersk to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of AI/ML and analytics and promote best practices. (e.g. facilitate communication and alignment of internal policies, principles, governance, policy integration, sensitive use case approvals, define and review aggregate risks)
Have a pulse on global laws, ethnographic considerations, and overall stance on topics of ethics, fairness, and social responsibility
Provide audit and review use cases to elevate potential areas of algorithmic bias and lack of transparency in development and deployment work
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:
5-7 years of business focused technology experience
Promising leadership skill with ability to influence without authority and deliver through virtual teams
Ability to manage and execute independently and with minimal supervision
Strong product management skill set with emphasis on MVP approach
Experience with data governance
Experience with delivery management
High personal agility and ability to deal with ambiguity
Growing ability to comfortably shift between strategic thinking and execution, and easily connect the two
Excellent stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
Ability to present complicated technology concepts in a simple manner, and to communicate key technology challenges or overviews relevant to senior technology leadership
Curiosity to learn about the Global Data & Analytics team and data technology concepts, maintaining an extensive network with up-to-date knowledge of what has mainstream/enterprise relevance to Maersk
Servant leadership mindset with the desire to help your colleagues implement data excellence and data ethics
High ambitions and a strong appetite for personal development to make the most of this excellent career opportunity,
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in M&A and post-merger integrations
Formal management experience
Knowledge of the shipping and/or logistics industry
