Then you might be our new Product Manager within our ‘Flat Roof Window’ product category team.

In Flat Roof Windows, we work with a range of products that include glass rooflights, sun tunnels, domes and installation products. We have recently launched a new generation of VELUX glass rooflights that deliver even more daylight, minimalistic design, and indoor comfort. The objective is to enhance and increase the customers’ benefits by transforming spaces into favorite places when using VELUX products. As Product Manager for the sun tunnel and installation product category you will play an important role in laying the groundwork for securing the long-term relevance of the VELUX Group and our products for years to come.

Your challenges

As Product Manager, you will be based at the VELUX headquarter in Hørsholm and you will join a dedicated and ambitious team of 5 colleagues skilled in product management, portfolio planning, product marketing, launch activation, and sales sustaining activities. You will be responsible for a range of relevant and profitable solutions designed to meet the needs of both our professional partners as well as home owners by generating category insights based on qualitative and quantitative product data in order to develop and maintain an attractive product portfolio with strong value propositions.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Develop and maintain an attractive product portfolio, with strong value propositions and ideal positioning.
  • Propose roadmap ideas to secure further development and deployment of product category
  • Acting as the voice of the customer in R&D projects, prepare and validate business cases and organize customer input throughout the development process
  • Implement regular pruning of the portfolio to secure a continuously optimized product category
  • Act as market coordinator in a stage-gate set-up working closely together with the commercial product manager who drives the launch activities
  • Monitor portfolio sales performance and engage with sales units and regional product management to identify actions to enable improvement.

You can expect to travel approximately 10-20 days a year where you gain additional insight into our global business.

Your qualifications

With your commercial and analytical mindset, you possess the ability to collect, organise, and analyse significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy – and with the customer as the focal point. Most importantly, you love to have fun at work and know when and how to dig out your good humour – even in busy times!

Moreover, we expect that you:

  • Ideally demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience working in a global organisation, preferably from an industry similar to ours – and close to the market and customer side – i.e. having worked in a sales subsidiary, retail organization or a position close to the customer
  • Have a strong commercial mindset and understanding of the elements of product management including customer value propositions and product positioning
  • Have solid excel experience and the ability to handle different sets of data in order to identify market potential as well as develop business cases to be used for decision material.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English and have strong communication skills where you communicate in a clear, fluent and precise manner
  • Experience generating value throughout the entire customer journey is considered a plus
  • A proactive mindset and able to inspire others
  • The ability to define a clear target, look beyond the immediate difficulties and see things from a broad perspective
  • A goal-oriented approach, you are driven by achieving results
  • The ability to establish and maintain relations with people at all levels, you are good at developing and maintaining network
