Category Manager for Demant Indirect Procurement
Are you good at defining and executing a category strategy? Would you like to lead sourcing projects and are you good at establishing the right relationship with stakeholders and suppliers?
If your answer is “Yes” this is your open invitation to influence the agenda by developing a range of very interesting categories.
In Group Procurement we are 32 dedicated and ambitious colleagues working in Denmark and Poland. You will be working from our corporate headquarter in Smørum, where you will be part of the Indirect Procurement team, which consists of 3 team members (2 in Poland) with reference to the Head of Indirect Procurement.
Take the lead and drive Indirect Procurement categories with procurement excellence
For Indirect Procurement, we are looking for a person to lead the categories for Sales & Marketing, HR as well as other focus areas. However, category responsibility may change over time.
You will drive procurement excellence within your categories by increasing the overall value from the supply base and by providing support and knowledge to our business. You will collaborate with many stakeholders – both internally and externally – whom you actively approach and engage with in order to enhance our procurement footprint. You will also support our business units internationally. Annually, you must therefore expect 15-20 days of travelling.
Your primary tasks will be to:
• Analyze, define and execute category and sub-category strategies
• Engage proactively with stakeholders to secure aligned decisions
• Leading and executing sourcing projects
• Conduct tenders and negotiations – with a strong focus on e-sourcing/e-auctions
• Secure audit-readiness (MDSAP) with stakeholders as well as ensure correct documentation
You will become a part of a highly competent Procurement department which values a good working environment with professional sparring as well as an informal working atmosphere. This opportunity provides a platform for further personal growth and career development.
Who are you?
You have a commercial education combined with several years of experience from a similar role, where you have a proven track-record from several disciplines within procurement. As a person, you display creativity and you possess strong sourcing skills combined with solid business acumen.
Ideally, you are highly skilled in data mining, e-sourcing tools and contract negotiation and you possess an inherent urge to deliver savings and creating value. You are fluent in both spoken and written English language. Experience from MedTech/Pharma is not a prerequisite, but it is a strong plus.
Good communication & stakeholder management skills
As Indirect Procurement in Demant is on a major transformation journey towards a more professional and visible department, it is important that you are motivated and comfortable with change. You strive in a matrix organisation, where you often will be dependent on your strong communication skills to ensure that we are going in the same direction. You have strong stakeholder management skills and are good at building and maintaining relationships.
