IT Product Manager for Biopharmaceutical Supply Chain

As IT Product Manager at Ascendis Pharma, you will have a vital role ensuring Ascendis’ supply chain processes are well-supported by IT applications. You will work closely with devoted colleagues within the organization, who all share the overall goal of developing and bringing new innovative medicines to patients.
In collaboration with the IT Business Partners, you will use your supply chain experience to articulate what success looks like for a given deliverable and rally the product team to turn that vision into reality.
The current supply chain relies entirely on third party manufacturing, transportation, and warehousing. As the products in Ascendis’ pipeline are moving from clinical development into the commercial phase, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining applications that support the business processes of the Product Supply Function.
You will join the Ascendis Pharma Global IT, Continuous Delivery organization, consisting of product teams delivering to business value streams. Ascendis is on an agile journey to a more SCRUM based approach and by applying your knowledge, you will play a significant role in the tranformation journey together with the rest of Global IT and the business. Ascendis has a cloud-first strategy and zero-legacy with room for experimentation and a chance for you to set your mark on how things are done.
Your main tasks are:
Your qualifications are several years of documented practical experience from a position as service delivery manager, application manager, system manager, project manager or similar working with combining the areas of supply chain processes, advanced planning and IT. You could also have worked as Supply Chain Manager or Planner with focus on implementation of applications. Ideally, you have worked in a biotech or pharmaceutical company, a consultancy or in a regulated industry.
You have experience with stakeholder management and leading people in teams by example to ensure that the product team delivers applications to the Product Supply Functions. Ideally, you have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for product supply and process and business knowledge within D365 Operations. Alternatively, experience working with other ERP systems with the same areas of expertise.
You have a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or Supply Chain/Planning. Ideally, you also have some agile education under your belt. Most importantly, you are bend on serving your users by making applications work for them.
You are a person with an agile mindset, and you are more concerned about the result of your team than your individual success. You are able to structure and present complex situations to a various set of stakeholders – including communicating IT-related concepts to a non-IT audience. You work in a pragmatic and inclusive fashion, listening to your stakeholders and adjusting the solution to fit their needs. Your approach is entrepreneurial, and you keep your composure when things move quickly. You are a self-starter and can imagine and determine approaches to solving difficult problems.

Travelling: Approx. 10-15 days a year.

- Work closely with the IT Business Partner to deliver to the roadmap of applications for this area
- Ensure the delivery and maintenance of new applications needed by the business
- Establish delivery practices in the agile product team supporting these functions
- Ensure coherence across applications
- Maintain the applications deliver value throughout their entire lifecycle
- Manage external vendors and partners
- Responsible for guiding the success of your product area
