Service Service Operations Plant Operations Engineering
Plant Operations Engineering is responsible for designing upgrades, commissioning and operations of all non-turbine related equipment on a wind project. This predominately includes SCADA systems, power plant controllers, and networking equipment. It also includes all balance of plant and hybrid equipment. The teams work with all types of Vestas designed equipment as well as SCADA systems and power plant controllers manufactured by Siemens, Gamesa, Nordex, Senvion, Suzlon and other large wind OEMs.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership for all SCADA software products, including on all brand equipment. Part of the project teams implementing the Service Roadmap projects, with a software focus. Work in close collaboration and joint leadership with the Project Manager will ensure a smooth Project execution. As Technical Lead you will ensure that the customer requirements are transformed into work packages with a clear scope and estimation. You will throughout the project execution act as the cross functional lead ensuring that all deliverables are in line with the project scope on quality, time and cost. Coordinate the work packages across the different functions and systems and facilitate both Peer and technical reviews. You will that risk are in control and provide the needed mitigation and escalation required. Together with the Product Leads you will engage in ongoing optimization of our processes and tools.

- Join the project manager in supervising technology development projects
- Build the technical scope of any requested solution with the relevant senior technical responsible and breaking the work into defined work packages
- Track and follow the status of work in the project work packages
- Set the architecture and overall project level solution, following through with delivering documentation, certification and working in close collaboration on implementation
- Supervise technical risks in the project, including setting a management strategy and escalating across projects and solutions
- Facilitate peer reviews and technical meetings
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in R&D environment with Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or an Electrical Engineering
- Experience in software design for industrial control applications, and comfortable working with hardware experts
- Experience in SCADA systems, power plant controllers, and networking equipment
- Experience in handling end to end complex technical projects
- Experience in technical communication skills with the ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and handle stakeholder expectations
- Experience in handling projects and activities in a very innovative environment
- Supervise sub-contractors and sub suppliers
- Certified Prince2 practitioner

- Fluent in English (C level or higher)

- Good understanding of machines, components and software
- Ability to drill down and communicate complex issues in easy understandable

Additional information
- This role can based either in Århus or Copenhagen, Denmark, but we are open to hire in any of our European offices such as Madrid or Hamburg.
- Travel: we are expecting up to 10 % travel for this position.
