Can you deliver excellent project execution using LEAN tools and do you have flair for coordination and implementation of digital solutions? Then you might be our new Project Manager in CMC Development. In this role, you can look forward to a wide exposure to strategic initiatives throughout CMC Development and the opportunity to deliver footprints on the digital & automation journey while further developing your project management competencies.
About the department
Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development is a part of Novo Nordisk Research & Development (R&D). CMC Development makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials in more than 5,000 sites around the world. CMC Development employs ~1,100 people in pilot production plants, laboratories and offices.
You will join CMC Business & IT Support, which provides operational support, develop processes and systems and lead business development projects across CMC Development. We are 14 dedicated employees with diverse backgrounds and roles: Business Analysts, Specialists and Project Managers, covering both scientific as well as mercantile educations. We are an ambitious and high performing department which will support your personal and professional development.
The job
You will report directly to the Director of CMC Business & IT Support. Your main responsibility will be to drive highly prioritised cross-functional improvement and strategic projects. The scope of initiatives will range from general business optimisation, implementation of digital solutions, process alignment initiatives and anchoring of central Novo Nordisk projects. In particular, you will:
- approach the projects with data and analyse current state and future state with the use of LEAN tools
- conduct business case analysis to estimate project potential
- plan and coordinate execution of the projects from start to end to ensure projects are implemented, anchored within line of business and that results are harvested.
Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating key software automation initiatives in CMC Development (e.g. RPA: Robotic Process Automation). This will include ensuring the backlog, scoping the initiatives together with IT developers and Line of Business and send final work to deployment.
Both parts of the job will require a high degree of collaboration within own department as well as Line of Business and other units in Novo Nordisk.
Qualifications
You have:
- a Master’s degree within a relevant area (e.g. business administration, engineering or similar). Additional education and/or certification within project management is preferable.
- a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience e.g. within project management from consulting or from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- in-depth knowledge and experience within LEAN or Six Sigma
- both flair for and a keen interest in IT and digitalization
- experience with RPA (e.g. UI Path) is an advantage.
As a person, you:
- work in a systematic and structured way.
- possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
- are results-oriented, ambitious and willing to walk the extra mile – when needed.
- master spoken and written English and ideally also Danish or an other scandinavian language.
