Senior Project Manager, Novo Nordisk Consulting
Novo Nordisk Consulting is an in-house management consultancy in Novo Nordisk - one of the world’s most successful pharmaceutical companies and the market leader within diabetes care. We report directly to Executive Management, and drive strategy, organisational and transformation projects across Novo Nordisk’s core value chain and support areas.

About the department
You will be part of a young, dynamic department consisting of ~20 dedicated employees with backgrounds from top-tier management consultancies or with previous Novo Nordisk experience.
We have an ambition to grow the team further and will continue to have strong focus on delivering impactful projects across the entire value chain. We invest in the development of our employees and strive to give the same steep learning curve as in top-tier consultancies. The projects give exposure to senior management and the department is recognised as one of the key talent incubators in Novo Nordisk, with our alumni moving on to key positions across the organisation.
The position
You will be responsible for driving one or more projects including the daily management of the project team(s) typically consisting of 2-4 core members. As a Senior Project Manager you will act as sparring partner on other projects providing guidance and ensuring direction and quality. Projects include strategy, operations, organisational development, and executive decision support. You will be exposed to different organisational areas across Novo Nordisk in Denmark and globally.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be part of the Novo Nordisk Consulting leadership team responsible for the development of the department, including talent attraction, talent development, people review, and department strategy. Through this you will build a strong international network and further develop your leadership skills. We expect you to take an active role in the continuous development of the department.
Qualifications
The person we are looking for has:
- A relevant Master's degree (economics, business administration, engineering, science or the like) with excellent results
- 4 years of project management experience from a top-tier generalist management consultancy firm (e.g. Bain, BCG, McKinsey, AT Kearney, etc.), with a focus on broad-based hypothesis-driven problem-solving (a must). Candidates with less than 4 years of consulting experience may be considered for a less senior role (Project Manager)
- Ability to identify core problem/opportunity and structure work in meaningful workstreams that can be delegated
- Motivated by driving change working close with stakeholders at all organisational levels
- Ability to build structured and fact-driven storylines and adapt styles to different audiences
- Experience in managing a team or individuals is highly regarded
