Then you may be our new Manufacturing Process Engineer.

You will be a member of the Global Innovation team located at our headquarters in Ballerup. We focus on developing new products incl. manufacturing processes that combine several technologies in a new and innovative way. We expect you to challenge what is technically possible and to help elevate our manufacturing process knowledge to the next level.

A part of effective innovation culture
As Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be an integrated part of our modular engineering setup focusing on manufacturing technology development and working closely with our product development teams.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Development of new high-tech manufacturing processes that are robust and well documented.
  • Specification and implementation of new process equipment used for manufacturing of new products in alignment with our strategy and external requirements.
  • To ensure, close cooperation with our module and new product development teams, that new products are designed and developed in accordance with Design for Manufacturing/Assembly principles.
  • Coordination of process validation activities in close cooperation with colleagues at our manufacturing sites in Malaysia, China and US.

You will also coordinate procurement activities and subcontractors, in relation to the development and implementation of new process technologies. In order to meet your objectives, you will work closely with the especially the R&D teams in Denmark, Malaysia and China in addition to QA/RA across the Ambu locations.

Team-oriented engineer with hands-on experience
To succeed in this job, it is important that you are capable of working independently but also a true team-player in a global context, which means that you like to collaborate and utilize the diversity in the global innovation team. You are open minded and see changes as a positive development. Additionally, you are proactive, goal oriented and result driven.
We expect you to hold a bachelor´s or master´s degree within mechanical, manufacturing engineering or an equivalent background. As a minimum, you have 3 years of experience in development and manufacturing of medical devices. You have solid “hands-on” process knowledge, as well as some experience with process validation and design control.
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. Consequently, it is a requirement that you are fluent in English. In particular, it is important that you communicate on a high level in written English and that you are willing to travel approximately 20-30 days per year.
