About the department
You will join a dedicated and highly competent international team in Assembly Support, Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) at the cross road between Device R&D, Production and our equipment suppliers. Our mission is to develop and implement reliable and robust manufacturing processes and equipment for assembly of medical devices around the world and to standardise our approaches to support Novo Nordisk’s growing market and expansion projects.
The position
As an Assembly Process Engineer in DMD, Assembly Support you own and develop assembly process specifications for our medical devices. These specifications define how assembly of the devices must be performed to comply with all requirements and make sure that we deliver reliable, safe and high-quality devices to our customers all over the world. You will work both with devices under development in close collaboration with Device R&D and equipment suppliers and with marketed devices in close collaboration with manufacturing departments. You respond to inquiries from stakeholders all over the world, participate in development projects and support validation activities for new and existing equipment. Use of new technology is also an important area of responsibility to develop next generation assembly manufacturing processes and equipment.
You can look forward to a role with high impact on the devices that reach the patient. Additionally, you will get the chance to interact with many contacts including R&D, production sites globally, equipment suppliers, QA and regulatory affairs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has an academic background combined with solid working experience within device assembly manufacturing or device development. An experienced process expert within device assembly could be the ideal candidate. Experience working with GMP, risk analysis, validation and requirements of the health authorities is an advantage, and since documentation is a big part of working in the pharmaceutical industry, this must be natural for you.
As a person, you have a high degree of can-do mindset and drive and you can challenge the existing way of doing things. Your energy and willingness to make a difference and optimize processes shows in your daily work. You take responsibility, are structured and have a strong quality and service mind-set.
You are a strong team player and like collaborating with stakeholders of different professions, and it is natural for you to share or take lead on key improvement activities. You are thorough and pragmatic at the same time and find it natural also to work independently. Solid spoken and written English skills are required.
