About the department
You will join a dedicated and highly competent international team in Assembly Support, Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) at the cross road between Device R&D, Production and our equipment suppliers. Our mission is to develop and implement reliable and robust manufacturing processes and equipment for assembly of medical devices around the world and to standardise our approaches to support Novo Nordisk’s growing market and expansion projects.
The position
As an Assembly Process Engineer in DMD, Assembly Support your responsibility will be to support your colleagues in investigating and implementing new technologies in assembly processes. One important part of your job will be to test and develop new technologies and perform data analysis (e.g. Big Data, machine learning, AI) in on-going projects. Another part will be as work package owner in relation to local sites implementing new technologies and to external research partners and universities to secure early evaluation of new technologies. The position is temporary until 31 December 2021
You can look forward to a role as technology gatekeeper with high impact on future assembly processes. Additionally, you will get a good understanding of the development process for assembly manufacturing and the many stakeholders involved including R&D, production sites, equipment suppliers and QA.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has an engineering background within manufacturing development, automation or data science preferably combined with project management experience. Experience working with quality systems/GMP, risk analysis and validation is an advantage, and since documentation is a big part of working in the pharmaceutical industry, this must be natural for you. With the right academic profile this might be your first job taking advantage of your recent enrolment at a university.
As a person, you have a high degree of can-do mindset and drive and you can challenge the existing way of doing things. Your energy and willingness to make a difference and optimize processes shows in your daily work. You take responsibility, are structured and have a strong quality and service mind-set.
You are a strong team player and like collaborating with stakeholders of different professions, and it is natural for you to share or take lead on key improvement activities. You are thorough and pragmatic at the same time and find it natural also to work independently. Solid spoken and written English skills are required.
