In this role you will take ownership of project(s) including project plan, scope, cost, work schedule, design & build, communication and contractual deliverables. The succeful employee manages multiple projects and project resources – directly and indirectly - including subcontractors within a global virtual and multi-function organization with an extended stakeholder map. Role is a working manager thus responsible for driving the team towards the successful deliveries of the projects and also manage projects.
Typical project characteristics:
• Total budget up to USD 500K, duration up to 12 months
• Strategic Project, High-ROI funding categories, Product Management, Small Enhancement or small budget, IT Housekeeping

• Accountable for overall project or multiple workstreams including project plan, scope, cost, work schedule
• Detailed Requirements analysis & sizing of project team
• Establishing and managing effective communications with the stakeholders
• Full project reporting and tracking
• Risk, issue and dependency management
• Ensuring delivery to the project plan and budget
• Planning and executing workshops with varied audience.
• Managing transition to support organization / model
• Planning, organizing, motivating and controlling project resources including subcontractors and procedures, budget management
• Manages a global multi discipline and multi-function team of project managers/project coordinators
• Owns, monitors and optimizes existing processes and drives initiatives to help meet the business objectives
• Ensuring appropriate standards, quality and governances are maintained.
• Appropriately embracing new and emerging technologies/processes to ensure the product remains relevant, drives agile thinking and ways of working to maximize collaboration and value creation.
• Acts as Project Manager for the Domain where needed such as resource allocation, budget planning and delivery reporting. Influences the Delivery Lead(s) team to ensure team is appropriately designed and staffed.
• Typically 5-12 years of experience in multiple IT areas and 4-7 years of relevant project management experience in a complex, cross application environment
• Typical previous roles include Project Manager, Product Owner or other Management level Application roles.
• Agile/Scrum and/or Prince2, PMP certification with evidence of previous methodology usage required. Jira experience preferred.
• EDI & Integrations experience prefferred, or working knowledge of the internal Maersk applications and business systems.

• Extensive experience on project management (plan, risk, issues, change, budget, resources, contingency, quality assurance, governance, processes)
• Significant planning experience and estimation
• Experience in managing effectively complex and virtual stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Extensive exposure to project lifecycle
• Good prioritization and time management skills
• Expert facilitator
• In-depth understanding of iterative software development methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
• Manages multiple deliveries in a quickly changing environment
