We are looking for a Strategic Project Manager to join our Global Operations team

Join us in an exciting and unique role
As our new Strategic Project Manager, you will lead international, multi-site cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, result-driven environment of operations and supply chain initiatives. You will be responsible for effective engagement and communication with stakeholders from different business areas – locally and globally. You will act as a critical and strategical thinker, establishing project priorities and functionally implementing strategies to execution. The overall goal is to improve the groups efficiency with a high cost focus.

You will lead projects of various kinds, such as the transfer of production lines and technologies from one site to another, heading cross functional cost-down activities, implementing new distribution processes or improving on-time-delivery processes. You will mainly be working with colleagues from IT, Quality, Wholesale and Retail in a global context.

The position in more detail
Please have a look at the following bullet points to fully grasp the position. The main tasks in your new role will be:

• Managing multiple high-visibility, multi-year long Supply Chain projects, in various stages by employing focused task management, creative problem-solving skills and tactical and strategic planning to keep projects on time, on budget and profitable
• Ensuring tactical execution of complex strategic initiatives that require an agile approach and swift decision making
• Taking ownership in all project issues with a hands-on approach to root cause analysis and problem resolution while leading the team to fact-based decision making
• Working with international stakeholders to identify business needs and requirements
• Working according to best practice project management and mastering project management competencies such as project- and resource planning, status reporting, communication networking
• Developing workplans including activities, resources, and timing
• Tracking project deliverables, gathering feedback, making recommendations, and preparing status reports
• Leading and motivating cross-functional projects teams
• Anticipating bottlenecks, exploring contingencies, and providing escalation management if necessary
• Proactively being able to identify areas of challenge
• Actively collaborating with a global team of highly skilled project managers.

There will be 30-40 travel days a year.

What you need to bring along…
To perform successfully in this job, you must possess outstanding organization skills with strong capabilities in structuring project plans and managing multiple work streams simultaneously. You are a strong communicator and can easily cooperate on all levels. You love building relationships locally and globally and show exemplary interpersonal skills. People get easily motivated by you and naturally want to follow you. You take initiatives, set priorities and are an excellent team player. And last, you are an analytical person, who likes to understand, how things are connected.

You have a Master’s degree in Business or Engineering and come along with the following experience:

• +5 years of experience in Supply Chain project management including scoping, time, quality, communication, and cost/budget management
• +3 years of experience in both traditional and agile (SCRUM, Lean) project management approaches will be a plus
• Ability to lead, facilitate and present
• Strong accountability and project management skills without close supervision
• PMP/Prince2 certification and/or LEAN experience will be a plus
