Behind the title
As Release Train Engineer, you will lead the cluster (program) called Data Mesh Enablement. The cluster contains critical IT-products used in the drug research process, specifically on how we transform our research data into valuable scientific insight. Your main responsibilities will include driving the agile maturity in a pragmatic way including facilitating and executing PI planning. You have a key focus on optimising the way we work agile including ensuring optimal team size, composition and resource allocation. As RTE you will help us continuously improve the way we work, by supporting the ARTs of 50-80 participants. Your responsibilities will include: Act as a servant leader providing leadership to help create high performing delivery teams that are supporting the work of the scientists in R&ED Be responsible for other agile activities such as managing and monitoring progress, system demos and retrospectives Support in solving escalated impediments from the agile teams Facilitate workshops and create well-defined demands Support & lead your Scrum Masters in the agile delivery conduct

The skills we hope to see
To be a strong candidate for this position, we have an idea that you will possess many to most of these: As a minimum a Bachelor's Degree is in Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or another relevant field, and at least 5 years of experience as RTE, IT Program Manager, Scrum Master or similar positions in an agile environment Experience in creating a great framework for the ARTs and ability to collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Knowledge of a research environment preferably within natural sciences and certification in SAFe considered as a plus Knowledge or experience with managing data handling environments or components included in a Data Mesh is advantageous Fluency in written and spoken English
