JOIN OUR GLOBAL ADVISORY DEPARTMENT

In Global Advisory, you will become part of COWI's Green Transition Market Team. The Green Transition Market team includes around 30 skilled experts who secure our customers the lead in making decisions for tomorrow. We support policy development, planning and implementation in assignments to support sustainable development and the green transition agenda. For this position, the focus will be on supporting our market expansion of our portfolio within the areas of green economy, creation of adaptation measures and building resilience towards the effects of climate change. the urban spatial economy and economic geography, urban and land use planning and management, and urban resilience.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

You will join our global team of experts and work closely with the Market Director of the Green Transition Team. Your immediate task will be to manage and contribute to projects and proposals for a variety of donors. You can be based in our head office in Lyngby, or Brussels office or in our other locations. You will work together with a team of consultants excited about providing high quality consultancy services to our clients.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • handle and support projects and proposals for our key clients, mainly European Investment Bank, EuropeAid, Danida, World Bank, ADB and other international financing institutions
  • supervise and support teams of consultants to deliver high quality deliverables to our clients
  • as a specialist in your field, provide consultancy input to our projects and analytical assignments.
  • design methodologies and supervise and quality assure work
  • coordinate client relations and collaborations across several partners.

To do well in this position, you should be a team-oriented person with professional analytical, management, and coordination skills. You should be good at ensuring alignment between the client's success criteria and the deliverables produced. Further you should have good communication skills and an eye for business.

Furthermore, you should have:

  • master's degree in Natural Resources Economics or Management, Development, Management or Planning, Geography, Economics, Public or Land Administration, or similar.
  • eight to ten years of experience in consulting, and five years as project manager in a consultancy company with the following profile:
  • experience in at least some of the following areas: climate change, adaptation, resilience, disaster risk reduction, nature-based solutions to climate change, the nexus between climate and migration, sustainable development, green growth, planning and implementation of support to Technical Assistance projects
  • experience with consultancy services to (at least some of) our main clients; EIB, WB, EuropeAid, Danida, etc.
  • good written and verbal communication skills in English

Additional language skills are desirable
