The Position
As a Senior Project Manager in Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), you will serve as the Work Package Owner (WPO) for the Facility track within the Facility & Maintenance department, spanning our expansion project across our global network. You will report to the Facility & Maintenance Manager and operate in a project environment, where close daily coordination with our colleagues is the norm. You will play a key role in establishing a standardized facility and coordinating efforts between various facility sub-work packages, engineering partners, process packages, and local sites. You will be responsible for many of the elements required to design and commission the new, modern facility. Your responsibilities will include: Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a detailed project plan to track progress. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget. Risk Management: Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Identify potential issues and proactively propose solutions. Quality review: Oversee incoming and outgoing project documentation. Conduct project review to identify and resolve potential issues. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team. Ensure the team is working within the project scope and effectively addressing all technical challenges. Process Improvement: Continually improve processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery. Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of the facility, including adherence to all applicable safety and security standards. Sustainability: Implement sustainable practices in the design and operation of the facility. Furthermore, this position involves a high degree of stakeholder management within the organization, including process Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), technology teams and equipment managers across the program, as well as external partners.
The role will require collaboration with our global sites. To facilitate this, some travel is expected, estimated at 5-7 trips per year.
Our team currently consists of 11 colleagues, each with diverse professional and personal backgrounds. As our team continues to grow, we value and appreciate the unique perspectives and experiences each member brings.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you need to have: An academic or technical degree within engineering, life science or similar. 3-5 years of experience from a facility or operations organization, preferably from a pharmaceutical production facility. Solid understanding of GMP requirements. Experience in engineering projects is great advantage. Ability to communicate complex content in a simple way. Fluency in written and spoken English. As a person, you take initiative naturally and have a strong personal drive, a quality mindset, and a drive to create the “right” solutions while challenging the status quo. You thrive in a changing and dynamic environment and able to demonstrate attention to detail and are structured when it comes to problem-solving. Furthermore, you have good stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relations on a global scale and embrace professional and personal diversity. About the department
You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions, which was established 18 months ago and is a growing area within Novo Nordisk. Our responsibility is to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients.
