Senior Project Manager for New Product Introduction
Demant’s most important Business Development driver, is a steady stream on New Product Introductions. Responsible for this are cross-functional Product Programs that during a 2-year cycle are delivering new, innovative products in all segments.
Operations are looking for a Senior Project Manager, to represent Operations in the Program Management Teams. Being overall responsible for Production and Supply Chain readiness for Launch.
Demant business volume continues to grow, and so does product complexity. That is why Operations needs a Senior Project Manager to oversee frontloading of future projects, plus orchestrate the activities to prepare the Supply Chain.
The Program framework
The Program Management Team is your primary workspace. Headed by a Program Manager, the team holds representatives from the functions of SalesMarketing, R&D, Q, IT and Operations. Within the 2Y cycle, the Program will define, develop and launch new, competitive products and features. This based on customer needs and planned and executed in accordance with the joint delivery capabilities of the participating functions.
You will have both horizontal and vertical interfaces into the Demant organization which is why you should feel at ease working with many stakeholders. Your project reporting line will be to Product Program Managers, overall responsible for delivering on Roadmap. As you are representing the interests and needs of Operation, your function reporting line will be to VP of Global NPI, who is part of the Global OPS LT.
As your stakeholders are spread globally, approx. 20 travelling days can be expected per year (once things have normalized).
Your link to Operations
Global NPI is part of Operations, and overall responsible for introduction of new products into the supply chain. Our products are based on hardware and firmware platforms, in combination with an increasing number of software artefacts. With your solid understanding of a R&D development cycle, your job is to ensure all Operations deliverables are ready at time of launch.
You may have familiarized yourself with our product portfolio off the webpages of Oticon, Oticon Medical, Bernafon, and Sonic Innovations. We work under the regulatory requirements of ISO13485/FDA 21 CFR Part 820/MDSAP-regulations.
Performing well in the job
We provide a dynamic working environment where adapting to new situations is vital. As a person you are positive by nature in your approach to new challenges and uncertainties. You focus on solutions rather than problems.
You have already been leading cross-functional projects in e.g. R&D, Marketing, Quality, Operations for a minimum of 5 years. From project definition to hand-over to Operations. You are able to manage a complex stakeholder landscape and you have experience with Supply Chain from an ISO-certified company, ideally also a medical device company.
You lead by setting a clear direction, achieving your results by communication, delegating and motivating your team. Your approach is constructive, structured, systematic and you make an impact through clear communication.
Your educational background is most likely an engineering- or project management degree. A PMI certification is considered a plus, however, the most important thing is that you have a solid Project Management toolbox.
