The position This position is a maternity cover for our Innovative Project Manager (Senior Project Management Professional) and is time limited for 12 months.
As our new Project Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of internal communication activities, large-scale meetings, virtual events and tv-like news programmes, all with the common purpose of keeping our medical colleagues in headquarters, regions and affiliates up to date. Your area of responsibility is a mix of frequent recurrent initiatives e.g., intranet newsfeeds or the Science News tv-programme, and big virtual events or large, face-to-face meetings such as the annual Medical Affairs Summit, which takes place over several days with hundreds of participants and multiple tracks. As the team works closely with the GMA Leadership Team, you will also have the opportunity to engage in various ad hoc initiatives.
You will be managing both the portfolio and its different elements, all the way from developing the concept, doing thorough planning and preparation to finally orchestrate and deliver. Along this process, you will be expected to maintain close interactions and alignment with stakeholders from across the organisation and manage external experts and vendors.
In this role, it is important to keep a focus on attracting and engaging the audience in both virtual, physical and hybrid set-ups. It is expected that you proactively balance the daily operations while continuously adapting our internal communication approach to match the business needs. Moreover, the position provides ample opportunity to innovate in the way HQ provides guidance and communicates to the broader organisation. Qualifications
To excel in this role, we anticipate that you bring: Relevant Master’s degree with excellent results +5 years of experience with project and event management Professional expertise in managing virtual meetings and events, given our increasing reliance on digital media for long-distance participation A proven track record of handling complex projects, with a strong experience using and applying classic project management tools for setting strategic direction and execution The ability to comfortably engage with stakeholders at all organisational levels, coupled with a background of successfully collaborating across organizational and geographical boundaries Effortless communication in English, both verbally and in writing

About the department The GMA Executive Office is anchored in the Development organisation and is located in Søborg, Denmark. The GMA Executive Office is supporting the senior leadership team in GMA. The GMA area is responsible for delivering timely and impactful communication about Novo Nordisk’s research activities to our external stakeholders, and for providing external medical input to our colleagues across the organisation. You will become part of a team of 8 dedicated individuals with the main aim of ensuring a close link between the strategic processes, from finance, performance management, and communication on behalf of and in close collaboration with the leadership team.
