Trial Project Manager to Novo Nordisk – Denmark

An experienced Trial Project Manager role within the Obesity disease area, and with a focus on leading highly critical global clinical trials for future products that can make a true difference for people with diseases across the world.

If you find that this matches your ambitions about making a difference, we urge you to continue reading. You will join an organisation, where great investments are being made in developing ground-breaking products, and where you are supported by the best within their areas of expertise.

You will work within Clinical Drug Development, and more specifically, within Clinical Operations for Obesity & NASH. Here, you will join more than 60 colleagues in various roles that are executing clinical trials through phases 1-3 in more than 50 countries and 4.300 sites. The pipeline is extensive and exciting, and Novo Nordisk manages all parts of the clinical trials through their own CRA’s.

The position

As a Trial Project Manager, you will lead and oversee up to 3 global clinical trials concurrently. You will assume end-to-end accountability for the trials (planning, execution, and completion) and ensure they are conducted to a high-quality standard and according to budgets.

You will continuously drive trials forward while ensuring that all cross-functional stakeholders communicate, coordinate, and cooperate according to plan. You maintain open, clear communication on goals and progress in the Trial Squad (Study Group). You plan effectively and have the innate ability to provide effective leadership, while respectfully motivating others, delegating tasks and driving people forward.

Your success indicators also include:

  • Impeccable trial planning
  • Accountability for budgets
  • Identification of issues and obstacles to meet timelines and ensure mitigations are in place
  • Ability to drive implementation of our digital strategy
  • Excellence in facilitating team collaboration and efficiency
  • Ability to maintain the helicopter view while having a deep understanding of the details

The position is based in Denmark and with a global scope. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable building relationships across borders with colleagues from different cultures, and where you will experience not to be the best in everything and enjoy that you can rely on others that will support you in driving successful trials.

Your qualifications

We expect you to be a high performer with excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Whilst providing direction and leadership, you are also a true team player. In your stakeholder management, you present yourself with confidence and openness, always looking for solutions that benefit all parties and position Novo Nordisk as an attractive collaborator.

Professionally, you can contribute with similar and relevant experience that you have acquired from another international pharmaceutical organisation:

  • An M.Sc. in Natural Science with solid experience from executing and project managing global clinical trials.
  • In-depth knowledge about clinical trial methodology, and where you have opinions about how to best execute trials.
  • Experience from working in an HQ environment and from a global perspective.
  • Knowledge of clinical IT systems.
  • Fluent in English.
