European Energy covers all phases of wind and photovoltaic (PV) solar projects, from early development to operation and/or divestment of assets. Our company of 200 employees has since 2004 installed more than 2 GW of renewable energy. We operate globally and employ 23 different nationalities at our office in Søborg, Copenhagen. Our mission is to be a significant force in the global transition to a fossil free society.
As our new Project Manager, you will work from our office in Søborg with European Energy’s business in Romania. You will see yourself in an environment with a big variation of interesting tasks. You will quickly become familiar with technical as well as financial and administrative details of our RE-assets and contribute to manage internal and external work streams.
You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and negotiating with local partners and landowners to obtain land rights and project rights to develop utility scale renewable energy projects. You build European Energy’s local network of partners and land scouts. You manage and conduct due diligence and financial models of the development pipeline and collaborate with engineering, grid specialists and local partners to perform project site analysis. Finally, you have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate with local suppliers, service providers and communicate with stakeholders such as city councils, utilities, banks, and energy traders.

Professional skills we expect from you
- You have completed a bachelor or master at university level or an equivalent institution within economics, engineering or law.
- At least 3-6 years of experience in project management, preferably from a similar role
- Knowledge of the renewable energy industry, primarily in wind and solar technologies is an advantage
- You are an expert user in MS Office
- You master Romanian and English
