Whom we are looking for

We are looking for an ambitious personality with an entrepreneurial mindset to join our Finance Business Intelligence team as Product Associate

In this role, you will be supporting the development and operations of a range of finance products that has significant influence on decision making across Ocean and Logistics

Initiative, ownership, and teamwork are essential, and the candidate should be able to adapt fast and cover a wide range of responsibilities

The Product Associate’s main function, is to manage the development of new financial products/solutions, while ensuring existing deliverables are maintained and upgraded to stay relevant

The successful candidate will be able to plan, organize and control the development pipeline as well as existing solutions. Coordinate work with data engineering teams, while managing business side stakeholders

You will have a strong commercial understanding with particular good knowledge of sales in the context of performance management and the ability to think strategically

What will you typically be doing?

You will report to Product Owner of Profitability Products, working closely with other product owners, business stakeholders and across the Finance function incl. our Global Data Analytics team

  • Invent and develop best in class BI solutions that enables insights and in turn enhances value creation across Ocean and Logistics

  • Manage business side requests and understand use cases for new data products and solutions, translating business side requirements into technical queries for data modelling

  • Plan and support maintenance and enhancements to existing products and solutions, while ensuring data is up-to-date and well executed

  • Contribute to the development of a solid ontology to enable consistence and scalability in the solutions delivered across Finance BI

Qualifications

You hold a Master's degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent combined with three to five years of work experience within Shipping & Logistics in business intelligence, analytical positions, business development or financial planning and analysis

You:

  • have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, put well to use in a fast-paced environment
  • are highly skilled in data modeling in power bi and excel and knows DAX and SQL
  • enjoy thinking beyond numbers and combining data with strategy, financial insight and creativity
  • are skilled at building strong relationships with key stakeholders coupled with excellent communication skills
  • have the ability to influence and impact, being a team player with intercultural understanding
  • Use a combination of technical skills and business knowledge to drive product innovation at scale
  • Have a problem-solving attitude paired with understanding for high quality data requirements
  • Are results oriented with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English
