As our new Key Account Manager you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the most important clients on the Danish market. You will be handling all Thule Sport & Cargo sales in Denmark in the Automotive, Bike, Sport & Outdoor distribution channels.
The present customer base consists of larger Automotive retail chains, national distributors and smaller & specialized retailers. A large variety of products categories is being distributed via the sales channels, amongst others: roof racks, roof boxes, bike carriers, winter & water sport carriers, but also roof top tents, backpacks and child bike seats.
You will work from home office with the backing of our international sales organization. You refer to the Sales Director North & West Europe who is based in the Netherlands.
Your responsibilities
Your areas of responsibilities can be described as follows:
- Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with high volume customers to accomplish organic growth and long-term objectives
- Research and suggest solutions that answer key customers wants and needs
- Serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams
- Resolve customers' complaints in an effective and respectful way
- Measure, track and analyze key customer metrics and report to upper management
- Research and source new potential customers
- Roll out merchandising & display programs and assure optimum presentation (instore / online)
- Actively follow-up of retailers point-of-sale on product presentation & knowledge incl. onsite training and train the trainer programs.

Your profile can be described as follows:
- Experienced Key Account Manager with a proven track record from successful companies
- Good understanding of the local market for similar products
- Sales and contract negotiation
- Planning and execution
- Product presentation
- Business strategy and marketing
- Strong verbal & written communication skills in Danish and English
- Relevant educational background – Bachelor/Master degree or similar.
You are passionate about working with your customers - self-going, pro-active and self-driven with a problem solving attitude. You are used to prioritize and meet critical deadlines. Strong at following up and with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude towards customers and colleagues, and a strong relationship builder.
