ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

BAT Denmark is currently looking for a Key Account Executive who wants to join us in our transformation journey in growing our new category offers in the Danish & GFI markets (Greenland, Faroe Island & Iceland). You will be working at a market leading company with well-known brands.You will be part of our customer management team, a team of 6 dedicated Coworker ensuring wide portfolio distribution, strong commercial platforms, sustainable investments, & category insight driven setups in our trade universe.

The role is responsible for demonstrating BAT’s global position within locally based organised accounts in order to establish outstanding key account management in BAT.

Reports to: Head of Customer management DK, dotted line to senior KAM.

Geographic Scope: Copenhagen, Denmark

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

As Key Account Executive you will be supporting the growth of our brands through step-changing key account management and be part of a transformational journey. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively seek, identify and quantify opportunities to grow our business
  • Analyse historical performance and expected future in order to classify accounts
  • Measure & analyse BAT and competitors’ performance in accounts
  • Analyse BAT demand side and supply side business performance in accounts
  • Own and drive projects linked to overall Business/Customer Profitability
  • Align account plan with company / brand plans
  • Support the implementation of account plans. Directly manage the implementation of account plans for assigned accounts to ensure that volume / profit objectives per account are achieved through the most efficient use of resources
  • Create & maintain reports for all accounts
  • Negotiate BAT to a position of strength in accounts
  • Provide input in identifying and developing future business opportunities with accounts
  • Manage consumer demand issues in accounts’ retail execution for the category
  • Manage supply side issues in accounts
  • Build selling propositions to accounts based on facts extracted from various data sources
  • Maintain Strategic Assortment Overview to continuously ensure portfolio strength
  • Collect and analyse data of accounts
  • Off-take reporting
  • Make analysis and basic negotiations with accounts
  • Control financial documents of each account and ensure that all required docs are aligned with the accounting department
  • Focus on the fostering of value creation as an inherent part of the job
  • Provide input in identifying and developing future business opportunities with accounts based on consumer insights.
  • Comply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

As the ideal candidate you are pro-active, analytical, and structured, and you are good at setting clear direction and move fast to deliver business results. You possess excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work independently as well as being a team-player.

Furthermore, to succeed in the role, you have:

  • A University degree in Marketing, Business or Business Information and minimum 1-3 years of experience in marketing/ category management related functions
  • Experience from FMCG industry
  • Strong analytical, systems and numeracy skills with capability to master complexity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Danish
  • Strong communication and planning skills
  • IT skills at advanced level
  • You are bold, curious and resilient.
  • You learn quickly and share takeaways.
  • You are responsible and think long term and deliver outstanding results
  • Require driving Licence. The candidate can expect customer visits.

BENEFICIAL:

  • Knowledge of SAP / AC Nielsen / Power BI
  • Advanced Excel Skills
