We are placed in the Global Supply Chain Planning department in Demant’s headquarters close to Copenhagen. The Job
You will join us as Sales and Operations Planning specialist and as the owner of all capacity planning related to our S&OP process. You will play a vital role in securing our capacity develops along with our business and keeping efficiency high and inventory at a healthy level.
Your success in this role will influence on our delivery performance to our customers all the way to ensure investments are placed timely.
You will be the one responsible for long-term planning of capacity for our main production of hearing aids, connectivity, amplifiers and central distribution center. You will deliver capacity targets and plans for the different production sites and be their challenging sparring partner for how to achieve the targets and follow-up them up.
You will be key in developing our future strategic capacity plans and have the responsibility to guide on investments for machines, manpower and/or square meters based on simulations and scenario planning.
You will work very closely together with Head of production sites, Procurement, NBI and at the same time you have important stakeholders in Sales & Marketing and product portfolio to understand how our business develops.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Standardize the capacity process within the S&OP process
- Responsible for all capacity reviews with the production sites
- Deliver capacity targets for our main production sites with the input from the forecasting process and transforming market insights into impact analysis of capacity
- Deliver simulations and scenario planning for capacity
- Play a central role in framing capacity for our tactical and operational planning to ensure high delivery performance to customers
Who are you?
You have a Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Production, Management or similar and 3 – 5 years of work experience. You are probably a structured and data orientated person, who thrives by working in a dynamic environment. You like taking initiatives independently, but still involving others when needed. You are surely driven and like an open and direct dialogue. Furthermore, you love to work closely with stakeholders on all levels within the organization, which means you will encounter different cultures in a countless combination. And finally – you are probably an Excel and PowerPoint geek.
Experience with S&OP is a plus, but seniority will not be the determining factor since the role can be tailored to the candidate's profile. Our goal is to find the right person with a passion for numbers and a drive to use data in the development of the company’s processes and decisions.
You can expect up to 20-30 travel days a year.
