Industrialisation Test & Verification Power Train & Module Integration Testing
The Test and Verification department within Vestas Wind Systems A/S plays an important role towards verification of components, modules and products.

In order to optimise testing, we bring field conditions into our test centre and expose them to functional, performance and reliability testing.

Vestas test centres are some of the world leading facilities within testing of turbine main components (gearbox, generator, converter, etc.) and include several test-rigs with the capability to test components separately or as complete wind turbines up to 20MW.

In Test and Verification, we are 100+ highly motivated engineers, specialists and turbine technicians who are responsible for planning, executing and troubleshooting during test campaigns.

Furthermore, our team is responsible for specifying and building up new test capabilities to continually ensure that Vestas products have the highest quality in the wind market.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering application, framework, and safety software to enable complex test solutions for test & validation of Vestas Turbine control systems
  • Drive the Test & Validation activities within the area
  • Develop and implement methods and capabilities within the specific area
  • Adapt existing Wind Turbine control software to control our test rigs
  • Close co-operation with the Turbine Control Software Department
  • Be a strong contributor in the continuous improvement of our future test Strategies
  • We expect you to be the link between our turbine control department and Test & validation and able to drive the adjustments of our turbine SW to fit to our test & validation strategy. As well as managing your own projects

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. You will hold experience with converters or wind turbine control ideally
  • +3 years of experience with C/C++
  • +3 years of experience with test systems
  • +3 years of experience with hardware
  • Knowledge of the following areas: embedded software / general software test theory / hybrid test methods e.g. HIL
  • Knowledge of GIT, Jira, Stash is an advantage
  • Knowledge with trouble shooting of complex and integrated systems

  • Strong communicator with engineers, technicians and other stakeholders
  • Lead activities by close cooperation with engineers, stakeholders and external partners
  • Fluent in English, verbally and written

Additional Information
Primary work location: Oliehavnsvej, Aarhus - Denmark.

This position requires approximately 15 days of travel.
