Do you want to play a key role in establishing our data foundation and thereby make a difference for patients by transforming the approach of innovative research? Then now may be the time to join us as we have two newly established vacancies as Data Engineers in CMC Business and Digital Solutions.
About the department
You will be a part of the organisation that ties research and manufacturing together. CMC (Chemistry Manufacturing & Control) development matures and up-scales manufacturing processes, optimizes formulation, develops and validates analytical methods, produces technical and clinical batches and writes the documentation part of new drug applications
The new positions are anchored in the department CMC Business & Digital Solutions. Our key mission is to execute strategic initiatives across CMC Development in the areas of Data Engineering, Demand & Supply , Business Intelligence, IT Security, and IT Strategy in partnership with line of business. You will join a diverse and international team consisting of 11 permanent colleagues with different backgrounds and expertise and nationality, plus 2 student assistants and 2 interns. Our daily work language is English.
The position
As Data Engineer, You will be part of a smaller task force investigating, solving and utilizing data potential and possibilities across CMC Development, in close collaboration with line of business. You will be responsible for creating a strong data backbone by developing and expanding our data infrastructure so as to enable our research departments to make real time data driven decisions.
In particular, you will:
- gain understanding of how our valuable data needs to be converted, stored and presented and help transform it into key insights in collaboration with our data scientists build analytical tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other business performance metrics.
- utilize the FAIR data principles and enable automated and intelligent technologies.
- drive hands-on implementation and contribute with documentation and knowledge-sharing across CMC Development.
This is a new job type within Novo Nordisk R&D which gives great flexibility for experimentation with new technology and you can look forward to playing a key role in shaping the future in close collaboration with other Data Engineers and developers across the R&D organisation.
Qualifications and skills
You can be newly educated or have many years of experience. Ideally, you have:
- A Bachelor or a Master degree in e.g. data engineering, software engineering, computer science, mathematics or similar
- Programming skills: Preferably SQL, Python, C++, C, or similar
- Database understanding and experience working with cloud solutions, preferably AWS
- Experience in establishing a data foundation setup from the ground and working with data manipulation and unstructured data is a significant advantage.
You have a key interest in transforming data to insights for our data scientists and the line of business. You enjoy building novel solutions for your customers, like to drive decisions in your area of expertise, and take a pride in helping your colleagues in a pulsing and dynamic environment.
